Zhang Loses Loads Early On

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 1,250 and Michael Zhang three-bet to 4,250 on the button, which then led to a four-bet for 11,500 by Ponakovs and a call. The {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop was checked and Ponakovs bet the {5-Hearts} turn for 14,502 to win the pot.

Zhang then three-bet to 4,250 once more and Aliaksei Boika came along. They checked the {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop and Boika bet the {8-Spades} turn for 6,383, picking up a call. Boika also bet the {6-Clubs} river for 16,308 and Zhang called with {q-Spades}{j-Spades} to get shown the {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for trips eights by Boika.
