Goh Chips Up After the Break

Level 41 : 350,000/700,000, 85,000 ante

Darrell Goh successfully three-bet jammed against Julian Stuer and earned a second successive pot right after when beating Joakim Andersson in showdown.

Andersson had raised to 1,540,000 on the button and Goh defended the small blind. They checked all the way on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} board, and Goh prevailed with {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} versus {q-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Andersson Back On Track

Level 42 : 400,000/800,000, 100,000 ante

Joakim Andersson won six out of the last seven pots to pull further ahead once more. He lost a small pot to Darrell Goh but has clearly regained the momentum. None of the hands went to showdown as the aggression of Andersson got the job done.

Small Pots in Quick Succession

Level 42 : 400,000/800,000, 100,000 ante

Julian Stuer raised to 1.6 million on the button and Darrell Goh defended the big blind. The action was checked through on the {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop and {7-Clubs} turn. Goh also checked the {6-Diamonds} river and Stuer's bet of 2.32 million did the trick.

Stuer also claimed the next pot before Joakim Andersson then scored four in a row to pull further ahead.

Andersson Takes From Goh

Level 42 : 400,000/800,000, 100,000 ante

Darrell Goh three-bet jammed into an open-raise to 1.76 million by Joakim Andersson and got through with it.

Julian Stuer then raised to 2.64 million in the small blind and Andersson three-bt to 7.2 million. No call by Stuer followed and Andersson claimed the pot.

Andersson then limped the small blind and Goh raised to 2.55 million, which the chip leader called.

They checked the {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop and Andersson checked the {4-Spades} turn. Goh now bet 2.7 million and that was matched by Andersson. The {2-Hearts} river slowed down the action and they checked. Andersson only had {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} but that was good enough, as Goh's move with {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} was no good.

Andersson Has the Superior Pair

Level 41 : 350,000/700,000, 85,000 ante

Joakim Andersson min-raised the button to 2 million and was called by Julian Stuer. On the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop, Stuer elected to check-call for 1.17 million and that was it for the hand. The {j-Spades} turn and {10-Spades} river were checked. Stuer showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} but Andersson had the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for the win.

Darrell Goh Eliminated in 3rd Place ($914,266)

Level 41 : 350,000/700,000, 85,000 ante
Goh eliminated by Andersson
Goh eliminated by Andersson

Joakim Andersson used his massive chip advantage and simply open-shoved from the button. Darrell Goh in the small blind gave it some consideration and called it off for shy of 5.3 big blinds, Julian Stuer folded in the big blind.

Darrell Goh: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Joakim Andersson: {q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

The {q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop gave Andersson two pair and the {7-Diamonds} turn left Goh drawing dead, which made the {7-Clubs} river a formality. Goh walks away with a payday of $914,266.
