Welcome to the HRW 14: $10,300 Short Deck High Roller

High Rollers Week on GGPoker will see the first and only scheduled Short Deck tournament kick-off today when HRW 14: $10,300 Short Deck High Roller begins at 19:00 GMT. Short Deck is known for being a game full of action and some of the heaviest hitters in the poker scene will be jumping in to take a shot at the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Each player will begin the day with 100,000 in chips with the antes beginning at 400. Blinds levels will be 12-minutes in length throughout the event and all players will find a five-minute break at 55 minutes past each hour. All players will have unlimited bullets in this event until the end of level 16, leaving lots of room to fire some shells.

Greenwood and Dvoress Clash with Monster Hands

Daniel Dvoress limped from middle position, Sam Greenwood raised to 3,600 from the cutoff and Dvoress shoved all in. Greenwood called for less, putting his 75,126 into the pot.

Greenwood was well in front with his bullets until the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} landed on the board, giving Dvoress a set of cowboys. A {6-Diamonds} turn card filled up Dvoress and Greenwood picked up a flush draw.

The river came down a {9-Diamonds}, completing the flush of Greenwood to take down the pot, doubling through Dvoress.

Greenwood Sits Down, Doubles Up

Level 6 : 0/0, 1,200 ante

Vedat "Suckadeck" Ozfresko called from under the gun, Sam Greenwood called in middle position, Lucas Greenwood called in the cutoff and Mikita Badziakouski checked his option on the button.

{k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades} spread out on the flop, Ozfresko bet 2,400 and Sam Greenwood called. Lucas Greenwood raised to 11,400, Baziakouski folded, Ozfresko called and Sam Greenwood stuck around as well.

A {j-Hearts} peeled off on the turn, action checked to Lucas Greenwood and he bet 22,500. Ozfresko check-raised to 86,500 and Sam Greenwood folded. Lucas Greenwood called all in for less, putting his 60,700 into the middle.

Ozfresko turned over {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a turned boat and the Canadian tabled {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, giving him higher fullhouse that he flopped. The {6-Hearts} river cemented the pot for Greenwood who found max value versus his opponent.

Haxton Fades to Take the Lead

Isaac Haxton raised to 27,500 from the button after seeing three limpers and Daniel Dvoress then limp-shoved for a total of 308,552. Haxton called his last 173,873 into the pot and the two revealed their hands.

An {8-Spades} river cemented it for Haxton and Ozfresko was dubbed as the bubble boy. All players are now guaranteed at least a min-cash of $31,428.

Haxton shoved all in for 1,214,992 and Barer snap-called, tabling {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} for top set. Haxton turned over {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a pair of tens with a straight draw.

The river was fortuitous for Haxton when a {q-Spades} landed, giving him a straight to secure a commanding lead in this heads-up dual.
