With 12,000 in the middle and the board reading {6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}, LoriAnn Persinger faced a pot-sized bet of 12,000 from an opponent in seat nine.

Persinger made the call and they went to the river {7-Clubs}. Her opponent bet again, this time 5,000, and Persinger called. Her opponent turned over {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Persinger mucked her hand.

"Gah pocket nines that time," said Persinger.

Persinger is a member of the poker media, but she has taken some time off lately so that she can play more poker. By the time PokerNews came back around, Persinger said she had been eliminated in a four-way all-in.
