MPF Champ Sujeta Chips Up First Hand

Level 2 : 200/400, 400 ante
Tomas Sujeta
Tomas Sujeta

Tomas Sujeta shipped the Malta Poker Festival Main Event earlier this month for a cool €150,000. He is looking to add more to this total here in the Golden Million Main Event.

He chipped up on his first hand after taking his seat, although we don't know with what as the hand never went to showdown. Sujeta bet 16,000 into a pot of around 25,000 with the {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs} on the board. Afshin Afsharorumieh tanked for more than a minute before he folded.

Cakir Chips Up

Level 2 : 200/400, 400 ante

Aleksi Toloraia checked with the {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} on the board before Murat Cakir bet 11,000. Toloraia paused for a minute before he raised to 27,500.

It was Cakir's turn to go into the tank and after two minutes he jammed his stack of 91,000. Toloraia went back into the tank himself and after two minutes a player called the clock.

Tournament Director Gerard Serra came to the table and asked the dealer how long the player has been thinking for.

"I'll wait," said Serra.

After another two minutes, Serra announced: "30 seconds."

With the countdown down to two second, Toloraia made the fold and the dealer awarded the pot to Cakir.

Haddad First Player Eliminated

Level 3 : 300/600, 600 ante

The tournament has its first elimination early on in Level 3 with Chadi Haddad hitting the rail.

Haddad opened from under the gun and was called from by one seat over Gabriel Penescu. Haddad led out after the {3-}{8-}{k-Diamonds} came on the flop and got a call from his opponent. Haddad bet 7,000 after the {a-Diamonds} came on the turn and got another call.

The {8-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Khadaj shoved for 40,000. Penescu had his opponent covered and made the call. Haddad turned over {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a flush. His opponent, however, had a higher flush and collected the pot after turning over {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

After the hand, Khadaj said he would definitely be hopping back into the action.

Aces Cracked for Razinkov

Level 3 : 300/600, 600 ante

A player opened for 1,600 before Dmitrii Belikov three-bet to 5,400. Aleksandr Razinkov opted for a massive 100,000 chip four-bet from the big blind and got a call from Belikov.

Aleksandr Razinkov: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Dmitrii Belikov: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Although Razinkov was well ahead when the chips went into the pot, a {k-} hit the flop to give his opponent a set. The turn and river were blanks and Razinkov was out of chips.
