Day 1c of the Golden Million Cyrpus Main Event at the Noah's Ark Deluxe Hotel and Spa was a huge success after attracting 236 entrants for more than the 192 entrants that previously came out for Day 1a and Day 1b combined. A total of 24 players advanced to Day 2 from the field, making it 44 when also taking into account the first two opening flights.

Players bought in for €800 for a stack of 80,000 in chips with blinds increasing every 45 minutes. Most players opted to increase their stack to 100,000 in chips via a €40 add-on. The add-on also acted as bubble protection.

After more than 16 1/2 hours of play, Israel's Joseph Dorai advanced from the Day 1c field with the biggest stack of 2,820,000. This currently places him firmly ahead going into Day 2, supplanted the Day 1a chip leader Dmitrii Vitugin with 2,158,000 with three opening flights to go.

Dorai not only heads to Day 2 with a big stack but also won a Golden Poker Series Madrid package in early March 2020, which includes a buy-in to the €400 Main Event and four-nights hotel accommodation.

Other players advancing from the Day 1c field with big stacks were Cristian Cabrera (2,180,000), Martin Ilavsky (1,704,000), Cristobal Pascual (1,368,000), and Daniel Prior (1,254,000).

Day 1c paid out 36 players for at least a min-cash of €1,200. Evgenia Lozovaya just missed the money as she finished in 14th place after jamming her ace-five into the ace-queen held by Dorai. Fortunately for Lozovaya, she took advantage of the optional add-on during the late-registration period for an additional 20,000 in chips for €40 which also added as bubble protection. This meant that she received a payout of €840 as the add-on also doubled as bubble protection during each opening flight.

Serdar Demircan was the last player eliminated on Day 1b. In addition to the min-cash for €1,200, he was also awarded a Golden Poker Series Marrakech package valued at approximately €1,200 for when the tour visits Morocco at the end of March 2020.

The action will resume tomorrow for Day 1c at 3 p.m. EET. Stay tuned at PokerNews for coverage of the Golden Million Cyprus Main Event.

Three extra prizes will be awarded on Day 1c. The player that bubbles in 37th place will get their €840 buy-in back provided that they added on for an extra 20,000 in chips for €40.

Additionally, the chip leader of Day 1c will receive a Golden Poker Series Madrid package which includes the €400 Main Event buy-in and four nights hotel accommodation at the beginning of March 2020.

Last, but not least, the player that bubbles advancing to Day 2 in 25th place will not only get a €1,200 min-cash but also walk away with a Golden Poker Series Marrakech package valued at around €1,000 at the end of March 2020.

Welcome to Day 1c of the Golden Million Cyprus Main Event

Golden Million Cyprus
Golden Million Cyprus

Welcome to Day 1c of the Golden Million Main Event featuring a mouth-watering €1 million guaranteed prize pool at Noah's Ark Deluxe Hotel and Spa. The festival has attracted players from all around the globe including Europe, Asia, North America, and South America.

The structure is one of the deepest players can find anywhere in Europe, especially at the €800 price point. Many players already got in much cheaper via live satellites or through promotions with the festival's partners PPPoker, Neverlose Poker, and J88 Poker.

Players start off with a big stack of 80,000 in chips during each of the five opening flights on Nov. 26-30. Those looking for a little more can add another 20,000 in chips to bring their total stack up to 100,000 for €40. The add-on also acts as bubble insurance with players getting their buy-ins back if they are one spot away from a cash.

The first four opening flights feature 45-minute blind levels while the final flight is a turbo-affair with 20-minute blind levels. Players can reenter an unlimited amount of times during the 12 blind levels late registration window during each opening flight.

Each opening flight features its own bubble with 15 percent of each starting flight already cashing in the tournament. Each flight will end at different times as play will end when the field is down to 10 percent of the field.

Players bagging chips will enjoy a deeper structure as blinds increase to one hour in length on Day 2 on Nov. 30 before increasing again to 90-minute blind levels for the final two days on Dec. 1-2.

Thus far, Dmitrii Vitugin is the chip leader heading into Day 2 after bagging a stack of 2,158,000 in chips. Will someone bag more chips on Day 1c? Time will only tell.
