$2,500 Championship Event
Day 2 Started
Welcome to PokerNews' Day 2 coverage of the Hollywood Poker Open Season 3 Championship Event from the M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas.
Friday's Day 1 drew a field of 662 entries and after 11 levels, 188 players bagged and made it to Day 2. We expect those numbers to tick up slightly as registration remains open until the cards get in the air today. On top of the chip counts is Pedro Oliveira, who bagged up a sizable chip lead with 369,000. He is followed by David Kluchman (272,800), Steve Warbuton (266,100), Esther Taylor-Brady (217,000) and Alex Keating.
The plan for Day 2 is to play another 11 one-hour levels and we expect the field to be down to about the final table table by night's end.
Play resumes at noon local time, about 45 minutes from now, so be sure to keep it here at PokerNews for live updates on all of the action.

European Poker Tour winner Toby Lewis and World Poker Tour winner Ravi Raghavan just tangled in a pot that went to showdown, and the latter managed to chip up.
The flop showed when we picked up the action as Lewis check-called 3,800 from the small blind.
On the turn the hit and Lewis checked again, after which Raghavan bet 8,100.
Lewis confirmed the size of the bet, and made the call.
On the river the hit and both players checked. Lewis tabled and that was no good against Raghavan's .

The board read when a player bet 5,600 and Lewis called from his immediate left. Raghavan tanked for a bit before folding, and heads up two players saw the river.
The river was the and the action was checked to Lewis who bet 4,500 and his opponent called. Lewis showed and he raked in the pot.
