Carbone and Richardson Chop It Up After River

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Anthony Carbone
Anthony Carbone

On the turn, the board read {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Ian Richardson moved all in over a bet of 5,000 by Anthony Carbone and was swiftly called.

The cards were turned over. Richardson was at risk and behind with the {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} against the {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} of Carbone.

But the river was the {4-Clubs} to give players identical full houses and require the dealer to chop up the chips.

His opponent's hand was already turned over as the vast majority of his chips were being counted out by the dealer to send over to Gaunt who is now one of the largest stacks in the room.

Michalak Fires Out Two

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Three players were involved in a hand that had reached the river. The board read {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. The first player to act bet 6,000 into the pot. John Michalak then made a hefty raise to 45,000.

The third player in the hand thought for a while before folding after about 30 seconds. Action was then on the player who had made the initial river bet, as it was a decision for the rest of his chips. He toiled over his decision, alternating between gripping his cards and looking as if he was going to put his stack into the middle.

Eventually he folded and showed the {4-Clubs} after over a minute. Michalak did not show and added more to his large stack.

Berman said two pair and turned over the {a-Clubs}{6-Spades} which forced Pranevich to muck.

Gaunt Gains it Back

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Marcus Gaunt had taken a slight hit to his previously large stack but he won a decent amount of it back as action was picked up on the river on a board that read {3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

Gaunt bet 22,000 over to his opponent who said "you either have a set or nothing". After a few more moments he called.

Gaunt announced straight and turned over the {5-Spades}{4-Spades} and gathered in the nice boost to his stack to help it build back up.
