Simon Attempts Bluff

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Michel Molenaar and [Removed:553] had gathered 16,000 chips in the pot when the dealer completed the Q9354 board. Molenaar checked from the small blind before Simon made a bet of 5,500 under the gun.

Molenaar flicked in a quick call. Simon could only show eight-high with 87, which was no match against the QJ of Molenaar, who took the pot with top pair.

Simon Doubles Through Artiga-Pacheco's Misclick

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

[Removed:553] raised to 1,500 in middle position. Jorge Artiga-Pacheco, seemingly not having noted Simon's raise, announced a raise in the small blind. He was forced to make the minimum raise to 2,400, which Simon four-bet to 8,500.

Artiga-Pacheco called to the 953 flop, which he checked to Simon. Simon fired a bet of 7,500, which Artiga-Pacheco raised to 15,600. Simon clicked back to 25,500, after which Artiga-Pacheco shoved all in.

Simon immediately called off his stack of 77,200, and both players were ordered to show down.

Jorge Artiga-Pacheco: KK

Artiga-Pacheco needed a king to win the pot, but the 83 runout had none in store for him. Simon was awarded a big double-up, leaving Artiga-Pacheco with just 11,500 chips.

Van Luijk Chips Back Up in Three-Way Three-Bet Pot

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Derk van Luijk
Derk van Luijk

Bernard Larabi opened the action with a raise to 1,200 under the gun. Derk van Luijk called on the button, as did Diego Montone in the small blind. Big blind Mengshi Tian then squeezed in a reraise to 6,200.

Larabi made a quick fold, with Van Luijk and Montone calling to the K6K flop, where Montone checked to Tian.

Tian fired a bet of 3,200, Van Luijk called, and Montone folded. The 7 turn slowed down Tian, who checked before calling the bet of 6,000 by Van Luijk.

Van Luijk sized up to 8,000 on the J river. Tian used one time extension before putting in a final check-call, but mucked his cards when Van Luijk tabled K9 for the winning three of a kind.

Van Luijk Back to Start as Song Joins

Level 5 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Bernard Larabi had opened from middle position and Derk van Luijk had defended his big blind when Larabi fired a bet of 3,600 on the 9K8 flop. Van Luijk check-called to the 5 turn, which was checked by both.

Van Luijk then put in 8,000 on the 3 river, which Larabi reluctantly called. Van Luijk tabled K9 for two pair, and Larabi's cards ended in the muck in defeat.

Shortly after the hand, Stephen Song joined the field, putting four tables into play.

Level 5 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Ewen Trevidy made a bet of 5,000 into a pot of 6,000 from the big blind on a 3326 turn. Robbie Toan min-raised to 10,000, which Trevidy called.
