Montone Bluffs Into Sterner's House

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Diego Montone
Diego Montone

Ludvig Sterner checked from the big blind on a 9577 turn. Diego Montone then added 20,000 to the pot of 75,000 from the hijack, which Sterner called.

The 10 fell on the river, seeing Sterner check once more. Montone took some time before putting his opponent all-in for 46,500, and was snap-called.

Montone could only show king-high with KQ, while Sterner had rivered a boat with his 1010 for a comfortable double-up. Montone, on the other hand, was left with a stack of 10 big blinds.

Toan Wins Huge Flip Against Kamphues, Duthie Departs

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Robbie Toan in the cutoff and Timo Kamphues on the button got all their chips in the middle preflop, with Toan's stack of 188,900 being at risk.

Robbie Toan: 88 All in
Timo Kamphues: AK

Toan looked on in dismay as Kamphues paired up on the 6A3 flop, but let out a loud celebration as he locked up the pot by hitting a set on the 8 turn.

The 5 river was just for show as Kamphues cut out a large portion of his stack to pay Toan his double-up.

On another table, John Duthie lost his last chips against Steve O'Dwyer to exit the tournament.

Song Over-Bet Jams to Demise

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Picking up the action on a completed board of 810JA5, Stephen Song put his stack of 44,200 into the pot of 30,500 for an all-in bet from early position.

His opponent was Samuel Ju in the cutoff, who weighed his options a while before reluctantly flicking in a call.

Song immediately stood up as he tabled K4 for king-high. Ju let out a sigh of relief as his AQ won the pot and sent Song to the rail.

"Fucking hell, what a day," Ju, who was on his third bullet of the day, exclaimed as he stacked up his chips.
