Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Big Slick Good for Makela

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player opened before Antti Makela three-bet to 5,200 from the cutoff. Juhani Piira four-bet to 15,500. Makela tanked for a minute before he called.

Makela check-called a bet of 8,000 after the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} came on the flop and both players checked after the {q-Spades} came on the turn.

Makela led out for a small bet of 6,000 after the {k-Clubs} came on the river and Piira called. Makela turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, which was good enough as Piira tossed his hand into the muck.

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The NLH Satellite to High Roller will kick off soon at 3 p.m. EEST on the casino floor.

The €110 buy-in should prove to be reasonable for anyone looking to play the €3,000 High Roller tomorrow for just a fraction of the cost with at least three seats guaranteed.

Big Slick Fails to Hold for Krikstolatis

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Gediminas Krikstolaitis four-bet jammed for about 40,000 with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and was called by Jaakko Hokkanen with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Although Krikstolatis was ahead when the chips were committed, he quickly fell behind after his opponent paired the {7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop. To make matters worse for the Lithuanian, Hokkanen also had a flush draw.

Krikstolatis was unable to catch up and was eliminated from the Main Event after the {q-Clubs} came on the turn followed by the {7-Clubs} on the river.

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Mate Mecs checked on the river with the {9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} on the board and more than 25,000 in chips in the pot before Pauls Vebers bet 16,000.

Mecs paused for about a minute before he jammed for 79,100. It was Vebers turn to go into the tank.

"Do you really have five-four?" asked Vebers.

Another minute or two passed before Vebers made the call.

Mecs turned over {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the straight and Vebers tossed his hand into the muck.

Dropping Like Flies

A total of 393 entrants were in the Day 2 field and this figure has almost already been cut in half with just 230 players remaining.

Hikkila Wins a Flip

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Iikka Partanen opened up from early position to 4,000 before Konsta Heikkila jammed from late position for 34,900. The action folded around to Partanen and he made the call.

Konsta Heikkila: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Iikka Partanen: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The flip was on and Heikkila took a big lead in the hand after he paired the {2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop. Partanen got no help from the remainder of the board with the {10-Clubs} coming on the turn followed by the {6-Hearts} on the river and he doubled his opponent.

Zandi Doubles Off Gosk

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player opened to 3,600 from middle position before Milo Zandi three-bet to 15,000 from one seat over. Grzegorz Gosk four-bet jammed for about 40,000.

The opening player folded and Zandi, who was just covered, called.

Grzegorz Gosk: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Milo Zandi: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

It was a classic race and Zandi came out on top after he paired the {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board.

Gosk was left with just 2,000 in chips after the hand and they were dusted off soon after.
