Alexandre Gomes

Lisandro Gallo has the button in Seat 4.

From under the gun, Jose Miguel Espinar opens with a raise to 45,000. Everyone folds to Alexandre Gomes in the big blind, and he makes the call.

Flop: {4-Hearts} {3-Spades} {3-Diamonds}. Both players check.

Turn: {6-Diamonds}. Alexandre Gomes bets out 70,000. After four or five minutes of pensive glances, Espinar makes the call.

The river is the {7-Hearts}. Fairly quickly, Gomes leads out again with 130,000. Almost as fast, Espinar folds, and Gomes takes down a nice pot without a showdown.

Alex Brenes

Lisandro Gallo has the button in Seat 4.

He opens the pot with a raise to 47,000. Alex Brenes calls from the small blind and the two men head to the flop.

It rolls out {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {A-Spades}, and both players check.

Turn: {7-Clubs}. Brenes leads out with a bet of 50,000, and Gallo calls.

River: {2-Hearts}. Brenes leads out again, this time for 150,000. Quickly, Gallo calls, turning over {A-?} {K-?}. It's no good though; Brenes shows down {A-?} {J-?} having flopped the full house.

Alexandre Gomes Eliminated in 4th Place ($68,100)

Alexandre Gomes - 4th Place
Alexandre Gomes - 4th Place
We pick up the action on the flop in a pot between Alex Brenes and Alexandre Gomes.

The board reads {4-Spades} {3-Clubs} {6-Spades}. The betting action is unclear due to the spectacle it created, but both players end up all in on that flop. Gomes holds {Q-Spades} {7-Spades} for a straight draw, a flush draw, and two overcards. Brenes tables {A-?} {5-?} giving him the open-ender and one overcard to the board.

The turn brings the straight for Brenes when the {7-Hearts} peels off. Gomes will need to catch a spade on the river or any 5 to split the pot.

The river, however, is a useless {9-Diamonds}, spelling the end for Gomes. He gets a handshake from the remaining players as he heads to the cashier, looking for his $68,100 prize.

Alex Brenes, meanwhile, has taken the chip lead as we go to three-handed play. He sits with just under 1.7 million in chips.

Jose Miguel Espinar

Lisandro Gallo has the button in Seat 4.

He folds in position, Alex Brenes limps, and Jose Miguel Espinar knocks the table.

Flop: {Q-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}. Brenes checks, Espinar bets 35,000, and Brenes check-raises to 100,000. Espinar calls.

The turn comes the {K-Hearts} and both players check.

The river is the {9-Spades}. Brenes checks, and Espinar fires out a healthy bet of 300,000. Brenes thinks for a minute or two before making the call. Espinar tables {9-?} {3-?}, rivering trip nines. The table waits for Brenes to respond. He looks back at his cards, scrunches up his face, and open-mucks {Q-?} {4-?}. Espinar rakes in a nice pot courtesy of Brenes, drawing the two men very close to even in chips.

Alex Brenes

Jose Miguel Espinar has the button in Seat 3.

He opens with a raise to 55,000. Lisandro Gallo ducks out, but Alex Brenes reraises to 250,000. Espinar calls, and we have a big pot brewing already.

The flop is {9-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {8-Spades}. Both players check.

The turn is the {7-Spades}. After just a quick moment, Alex Brenes moves all in for more than 900,000 chips. Espinar folds, and Brenes takes down a good chunk of chips.
