Terrence Chan was in the big blind and facing a raise to 675 from the player in the hijack. Chan neither called nor folded, instead opting to raise to 2,100. The hijack made the call and the two saw a flop of

Chan put out a bet of 2,300 and the hijack made a quick call. Chan slowed down and checked the 
on the turn, but called the hijack's 3,625 bet. Both players checked the 
on the river and Chan turned over 
. His opponent rapped the table and slide his cards into the muck. With that win, Chan is up to around 30,000.
The rail in the tournament area has begun to fill up as of late. Many of the spectators are watching Dennis Phillips, Veronica Dabul and Matthias Habernig, all of whom are sitting near the rail.
Tucked away in one of the corners of the tournament area is Jose Ignacio Barbero, who managed to win back-to-back LAPT titles during Season 3. Barbero is well on his way to his third title with a stack of almost 50,000. Most recently Barbero was seen eliminating a short-stacked opponent after his 8-5 offsuit rivered a straight to crack pocket aces.
It's been slow going for Dennis Phillips. He let the table know he wasn't happy to have to fold his big blind. The next hand, the under-the-gun player raised, and it folded around to Phillips in the small blind. He called, and the big blind got out of the way. Phillips checked the 
flop, and his opponent checked behind. It was check-check again after the 
turn. Finally, the river was the 
, and Phillips took a stab at the pot for 1,400. The original raiser folded, and Phillips took down the small pot. But every chip matters to him as he's trying to rebuild from around 13,000.
Andre Akkari raised to 700 from early position and received calls from the button and small blind. The flop came down 
and all players checked.

on the turn and Akkari bet 1,400. The button folded and the small blind made the call. Once again, both players checked the 
on the river. The small blind was first to show and revealed 
. Akkari sheepishly turned over 
for a rivered pair of fours. The small blind smiled as Akkari, who now has around 30,000, shrugged and stacked his chips.
Alexandre Gomes was all in for around 13,000 with 
against his opponent's . The board ran out 
, and Gomes got no help. He tapped the table and stood up to leave.
The other player asked if he got a bounty for knocking out a Team Pro. Gomes laughed and made a joke in Spanish. "Can I get the 30%?" the player responded, referencing the tax that the players are all grumbling about. It certainly won't be an issue now for Mr. Gomes.
