Forty-Six Survive Day 2 of the Lex Live Main Event

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Mohamed Adansar
Mohamed Adansar

There are 46 players remaining in the €225 Lex Live Namur Main Event. The event, held in Grand Casino de Namur, had a total of 1,064 entries and the remaining 46 players will battle it out tomorrow for the first-place prize of €37,105. All are guaranteed to take home at least €708. Mohamed Adansar has the chip lead with 3,636,000. The closest follower is Kevin Muders with 2,705,000.

The day started out with a flurry of busts. It wasn't a great day and especially not a great start for the Lex Veldhuis community. A couple of the players that busted out in the first 15 minutes of the day include Markus 'L4zy_pigeon' Borel, Ben 'TheBenMartin98' Martin, Tjenno 'TjennoE' Eskes, moderator 'Croaks', and Veldhuis himself didn't make it past the first 15 minutes either.

Veldhuis busted after he found pocket tens with only six big blinds. He had to win a coin flip against two overcards but he couldn't recover when his opponent flopped two pair. Another Team PokerStars Online pro that didn't make it very far was Benjamin 'Spraggy' Spragg. The Twitch streamer busted out in the first level of the day as well. The only player from the community that did make it through to Day 3 is Tomislav Savov. The Bulgarian going by the name 'JustX' has bagged 505,000 and he is considered one of the shorter stacks left in the tournament.

Kalidou Sow, Jérôme Sgorrano, and Belgian actor Tom Dingenen busted out in the last level of the day. They all cashed for €708 but they are missing out on the top prize of €37,105. The registration of the €550 Golden Beaker High Roller is still open however and they can register before the start of Day 2 at 3:30 p.m. local time.

Earlier in the day at 11:30 a.m. Veldhuis had a pub quiz with sixty questions about himself and the stream. After fifty questions he announced that the top four would play a tag team style sit and go before the start of Day 3 of the Main Event. Sanne 'Antim00n' Bombeek, Milko 'Milkovw' van Winden, 'TjennoE', and 'TheBenMartin98 ended in that top four and they will be partnered up with either 'Spraggy', Fintan 'EasyWithAces' Hand, Felix 'xflixx' Schneiders, or Veldhuis himself. They are all guaranteed to take home at least €500 with the winner cashing for €3,000.

The Main Event will continue with 46 players remaining in the tournament at 3 p.m. local time. PokerNews will be there at the start until the winner is crowned in the first inaugural Lex Live Main Event.

Both Danes Go Down

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Morten 'Zeeth' Ottosen
Morten 'Zeeth' Ottosen

Gaetan Macaluso put his last 3,000 in the middle from early position and Kenneth Pedersen moved all in as well for his last 67,000. They were called by Mohamed Ammar in the small blind and the player in the big blind folded.

Kenneth Pedersen: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Gaetan Macaluso: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Mohamed Ammar: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and that meant that Macaluso wins the main pot and Ammar the side pot. Pedersen got eliminated from the tournament.

Fellow Dane Morten 'Zeeth' Ottosen was eliminated from the tournament on another table after he lost with pocket eights against pocket tens.

Both get to collect €492.

No Cash for Wesley Nobels

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Wesley Nobels
Wesley Nobels

Wesley Nobels was down to 63,000 and he played multiple hands that eventually concluded in him busting out of the tournament. First he jammed with pocket deuces without getting a call and his now slightly bigger stack was pushed to the middle again the very next hand with pocket eights from the cutoff.

He was called this time by the player on the button with ace-ten and there was a ten on the flop right away. He was left with just 23,000 after the hand and he lost those chips with ace-deuce.
