Lex Veldhuis

All starting flights are in the books of the 2019 Lex Live Namur Main Event. Soufiane Gherbi from Belgium leads the 373 remaining players out of the 1,064 players that started the tournament. Gherbi collected 514,000 from his 50,000 starting stack. Job Trekpop finished Day 1C yesterday as chip leader, bagging 404,500, and some might know him as the biggest troll in Lex Veldhuis his Twitch channel.

The winner will receive the huge first place prize of €37,105 and the runner-up of the tournament has to settle for €22,614. A total of 111 players will end up cashing the tournament with a min-cash of €492. They will play ten 45-minute levels on Day 2 of the tournament which will finish at about 1:30 a.m.

Veldhuis himself will start the day as one of the short stacks. He bagged 23,000 and he only has four people below him on the leaderboard. Other community members that made it through to Day 2 include Nadia 'KaboomPoker' Wanzi (309,000), Joeri 'Zjoeri' van Kuik (137,000), and Tjenno 'TjennoE' Eskes (79,500).

The first goal players will have is to reach the money and we will see how quickly that will happen. PokerNews will be on site in Grand Casino de Namur.

'L4zy_pigeon' One of the First Players Eliminated

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Markus 'L4zy__pigeon' Borel started the day with just ten big blinds and it folded to him in the cutoff. The players in the blinds weren't present yet and Borel moved all in with {k-}{3-}.

He was called by the player on the button with {a-}{9-} and that was more than plenty to take down the pot after the board ran out with an ace on the flop.

Borel said he is most likely going to play the progressive knockout tournament later in the day.

Lex Veldhuis

The man of the tournament and Twitch Poker legend Lex Veldhuis just busted out of the tournament. He started the day with just six big blinds and he got it all in the middle with {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} from under the gun. Virginie Idres moved all in as well for 26 big blinds with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and they went off to the races.

The flop fell {k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Spades} and Veldhuis had to come from behind. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and the river was the {6-Spades} and Veldhuis got eliminated early in the day.

The community has a hard time holding up in the big field. A lot of players already busted out of the tournament in the first 20 minutes of the day.

'Croaks' Got eliminated with {k-}{j-} against {q-}{q-} and {a-}{k-}, while Tjenno 'TjennoE' Eskes lost with ace-king against ace-queen and pocket nines. Others that already were eliminated as well include Ger 'Eyesolator' Kamerling, Ben 'TheBenMartin98' Martin, and PokerStars Team Online member Benjamin 'Spraggy' Spragg.
