Day 1E was the largest day yet of the Texas State Main Event. 640 entries meant that the $1 million guarantee was completely blown away as the prizepool ended up being more than double totaling $2,090,700.

Leading the surviving 77 players at the end of the day was Christopher Doan who bagged the largest stack across all flights with a mind blowing 1,726,000. He was spotted in the middle park of the day, with a big stack already at that point and just continued to build as the night went on to end on top of the mountain.

Three other players bagged gargantuan stacks; Joon Park bagged 1,428,000, 2020 WSOP Domestic Main Event champion Joseph Hebert ended the day with 1,339,000 and Josh Burkhalter bagged 1,305,000, all of which be taking well over 100 big blinds into Day 2.

Some more players to bag for Day 2 included: Shawn Rice with 423,000, Christopher Moon with 330,000 and $150K GTD Spring Series Kick Off champion Gerald Stogner who bagged 263,000.

The 77 survivors will join the 141 from previous flights to create a Day 2 with 218 players still alive with the dream of winning the grand prize of $355,420.

Three-Way All In Produces Quads

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Richard Lopez
Richard Lopez

There was a three-way preflop all-in hand in progress, and when the dust settled all three hands were tabled.

Matthew Dalka {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Richard Lopez {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Khaled Nassief {a-}{q-}

Dalka had the largest stack and was in prime position to balloon up the counts.

However, the flop came down {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} to zoom Lopez into the lead with a set of kings.

The turn sewed it up as the {k-Diamonds} came off to give Lopez quads, and after the meaningless river was run out, he pulled in a big pot while also ending Nassief's night in the process.

Burkhalter Makes River Call For Huge Pot

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Josh Burkhalter
Josh Burkhalter

It was a battle of big stacks as the flop read {k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Josh Burkhalter check-called a bet of 75,000 from Jimmu Lujan.

The turn came the {q-Spades}. Lujan bet again, this time for 125,000 and Burkhalter came along again.

The river was the {10-Hearts}. Burkhalter checked again and Lujan put together some chips and made a hefty bet of 225,000.

Burkhalter went into the tank and played with his chips while thinking it out. He eyed Lujan and after over a minute he called.

Lujan showed {5-}{5-} and Burkhalter tabled the winner with his {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} to gather the massive pot to put him well over a million.
