The Lone Star Poker Series at Champions Social in Houston, Texas kicked off over the weekend with Event #1: $400 Super Stack Kickoff, which attracted 546 entries over four starting flights. That surpassed the $100K GTD by generating a $177,450 prize pool reserved for the top 66 finishers.
On Sunday, Stephen Hart emerged victorious to win the title for $32,000 and the silver belt buckle trophy.
On Sunday, Event #2: $400 NLH Sunday Special saw 68 runners create a $22,100 prize pool (a bit ahead of the $20K GTD), and after a fun day of play, it was Carlos Requena of Arlington, Texas coming out on top to claim a $6,030 first-place prize.
Here's a look at all those who notched a cash in the tournament.
On Sunday, Event #3: $300 NLH Ladies Only Tiffany Bracelet Event saw 36 entrants create an $8,640 prize pool, just ahead of the $8,000 guarantee.
It proved to be a fun and lively event, but only seven of the women participating were slated to get paid.
In the end, the title came down to Bridgette Adkins and Suzan Samuels.
The former ultimately prevailed to not only win $3,155 in prize money, but also the poker-themed Tiffany Bracelet, which you can see in its glory in the image below.
Event #4: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Max drew 60 entries to get comfortably past the $15K guarantee with a $19,500 prize pool.
While Ray Henson was able to make the final table, he couldn't seal the deal, falling in fourth place for a $2,925 payout.
Instead, it would be Robert Valden, Walter Beltran and Adam Elfazzani contesting for the title. The former would fall in third, and it appeared the latter two struck a deal for the remaining monies at some point as Beltran got $4,500 for second while Elfazzani claimed $5,055 for first place, along with the trophy.
