At 2pm local time, in about 3 hours, Day 2 of the Main Event of the Master Classics of Poker commences. Players still have the option to sign up as registration is open till start of play. While the exact amount of entries is yet to be determined, we already know the field is bigger than last years. In 2015, Jussi Nevanlinna beat a field of 291 entries to walk away a €300,000-winner, who's going to succeed him with an even bigger cheque?
Instead of 60-minute levels as on Day 1a and 1b, levels will now be 75-minutes long. Eight of them are on the schedule for today.

Level: 10
Blinds: 500/1,000
Ante: 100
From early position, Steven van Zadelhoff raised to 2,200 and action quickly folded around to Arne Coulier in the small blind. The young Belgian poker champion three-bet to 7,000 and the big blind folded. Van Zadelhoff called.
Both checked on the flop and the turn. The completed the board and Coulier bet 8,500. Van Zadelhoff tanked for a bit before he quietly released his cards into the muck.
There have been some late entries, getting the total amount of entries up to 339. 157 of those remain right now. Prize pool information is to follow later today.
Hans Bosman just sat down now, a bit late for Day 2. In his first hand, seated in early position, he asked what the blinds and antes were (500/1,000) and tossed in a 5,000-chips. His call prompted a raise to 4,200 from Georgios Zisimopoulos in position. Action folded to Bosman who called.
Bosman check-called 5,100 on and check-called another 11,000 on the turn. The river came the and Bosman checked for the third time. Zisimopoulos bet 12,000 and Bosman instantly released.

We ran into Tobias Peters who was just coming back from the cashier. He had just been eliminated and, presumably, just bought a ticket for tonight's tournament.
He told us Willem Eilert raised to 2,900 and, on the button, Michiel Brosky called. From the small blind, Tobias Peters squeezed to 11,000 out of a total stack of 41,000. Eilert four-bet to 40,000 and Brosky folded. Peters committed all of his chips and Eilert called for a couple of chips more.
Peters showed but was in trouble as Eilert tabled . A board full of blanks later, Peters was on his way to the exit.
