2023 Merit Poker Carmen Series Main Event champion Maxime Chilaud opened to 7,500 from under the gun. Seated on his left, Itzhak Ashkenazi three-bet to 30,000, and all the other players folded.

Action back to him, and Chilaud quickly four-bet to 132,500 to put his opponent at risk. Ashkenazi wasn't sure what to do, but he went all in for a total of 69,000 chips.

After an open to 8,000 by the player under the gun, Alexandr Savchenko called from the hijack. But on the button, Jacek Pustula raised it up to 30,000. This action made the initial raiser fold, but not Savchenko, who called.

On the flop 4♦8♥6♥, Pustula threw a white chip of 25,000 in front of him. Savchenko called, then both players checked on the turn 2♠.

Two Pairs For Kirichenko

Aleksandr Kirichenko opened from early position, and everyone else folded except for Toni Kaukua in the big blind, who called.

After the dealer revealed a flop of 5♠2♥6♣, Kirichenko placed a continuation bet of 8,000, and Kaukua chose to check-call.

On the turn K♣, Kaukua check-called once again, this time after Kirichenko bet 30,000.
