Moving from one table to the other as he is also playing in the $10,500 High Roller, Aleksandr Chernikov was at his seat to defend his big blind after Maksim Shornikau opened from the middle position.

On a 9♥J♦7♣ flop, both players checked. Then on the turn 6♥, Chernikov tried to take the pot by betting 200,000. On the other side of the table, Shornikau raised it to 575,000; an amount that Chernikov check-called.

The 5♠ came on the river, and Chernikov checked. Shornikau took this opportunity to fire a bet of 600,000. But he didn't need to show his cards to take the pot, as Chernikov folded.

In early position, Ilya Pavlov opened. However, from the cutoff, Nicolas Chouity chose to three-bet. The action went back to Pavlov, who moved all in with almost 4,000,000 chips. Chouity quickly called.

Pavlov's risky move wasn't successful, as Chouity had the best possible hand. A queen came on the flop, giving Pavlov a pair. But it wasn't enough. And after the board Q♠6♣3♥8♣4♦, he was eliminated.
