£140 Main Event - Road to PSPC
Day 2 Started
Today the £140 Moneymaker Road to the PSPC Tour Newcastle Main Event will disperse its £52,320 prizepool – and a coveted Platinum Pass – at Aspers Casino. Just 83 players from a total field of 436 have survived across four starting flights, and all but a dozen will leave the tournament with prize money (a min-cash is worth £204). For both the winner and runner-up, a prize of £7,586 awaits, a sizeable return on investment for £140. The outright victory will send one of these players to the PokerStars Players No Limit Championship in Barcelona in August as part of a package worth €26,000.
Chris Moneymaker, playing a stack of 128,000, is among those returning to the felt today, joining Niall Farrell (64,000), fitness influencer Zac Aynsley (124,000), online qualifier Joss Murdoch (109,500) and chip leaders Daniel Stancer (454,500) and William Robinson (433,500). The PokerStars Ambassador and inspiration to satellite qualifiers everywhere will (if he doesn’t take down his own namesake tournament) be on hand to award the second Platinum Pass to be given away in the UK (the first went to Andrew Barham at Le Meridien in London last week).
Join PokerNews for live coverage from the noon restart until today’s Moneymaker Tour Newcastle champion is crowned.

The man for whom the tour is named has wished the 83 remaining players luck and reassured them that should he win, the Platinum Pass will go to the runner-up.
