Nut Flush for Illingworth

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

The flop was {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} between Greg DeBora, Daniel Illingworth and Allen Bari. DeBora was first and checked before Illingworth bet 1,050. Bari called and DeBora folded.

The {9-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Illingworth bet 2,275. Bari called again.

The {4-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Illingworth checked and Bari checked behind, not biting. Illingworth tabled the {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the nut flush after flopping the wheel and Bari mucked.

Another for Klodnicki

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

From under the gun, Gregory Merson raised to 450. Charbel Azzi flatted in middle position and then action folded to Chris Klodnicki on the button. Klodnicki reraised to 2,000. Play folded through the blinds and back to Merson. He reraised to 4,225. That knocked Azzi out of the way, but Klodnicki flatted.

The flop came down {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Merson bet 2,775. Klodnicki called to see the {8-Diamonds} pair the top card on board. Merson checked after a minute or two of tanking. Klodnicki also took his time and then bet 4,200. Merson gave it up and Klodnicki scooped the pot.

Kenney the First to Go

Level 2 : 200/400, 50 ante

Action folded to Jonathan Jaffe in the cutoff seat and he raised to 1,000. Daniel Illingworth reraised to 2,600 from the next seat on the button and then Bryn Kenney moved all in for 9,900 from the small blind. Action folded back to Illingworth and he made the call.

Illingworth: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Kenney: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The flop, turn and river ran through {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Kenney couldn't come from behind to double up. He was the first player eliminated in Flight B and Illingworth scooped the first $2,000 bounty.

Waxman's Queens Burned

Level 2 : 200/400, 50 ante

Jonathan Jaffe and Matt Waxman got all of the money in on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop. Waxman held the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}, but Jaffe had flopped gold with the {7-Spades}{3-Spades} for two pair.

The turn brought the {8-Spades} and the river the {A-Clubs}. Jaffe was all in on the flop for 20,225 and now has about 47,000 in chips. Waxman was knocked all the way back to 2,200.

Mercier Busts Greenstein

Level 2 : 200/400, 50 ante

Barry Greenstein and Jason Mercier got all of the money in preflop. Mercier held the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and was dominated by the {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for Greenstein. Now, if anyone knows how Mercier runs in poker, they'd say that Greenstein was really the player who was dominated in this hand.

The flop came down {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and everyone pretty much knew what was coming on the turn. The {10-Clubs} rolled off and just like that, Mercier went from being dominated to being unbeatable in the hand. He'd only chop if a king rolled off on the river.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and Greenstein was already signing a copy of his book for Mercier. Mercier collected the chips to move to 50,000, the $2,000 bounty and the autographed book.
