De La Pena Gets All the Chips In

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

The action was opened under the gun to 1,000 before Carlos De La Pena called in middle position and the big blind called behind.

The 106A flop landed and action checked to De La Pena who took the betting lead and wagered 1,000. The big blind called before the original raiser put in a check-raise to 5,500. Action was then back on De La Pena who took only a second before moving all in for about 16,500.

The big blind got out of the way and then the original raiser went into the tank. After about a minute the under the gun player flicked in a call and the cards hit their backs with De La Pena all in and at risk.

Carlos De La Pena: AQ
Under the Gun: J10

The turn sealed the deal in the K giving De La Pena the nuts and having his opponent drawing dead. The river landed a brick and De La Pena scooped a massive pot for a pure double.
