Joe Tehan, who has won a major tournament in this building before, is out after two run-ins with November Niner Joseph Cheong.
In the first hand, Tehan three-bet a Cheong open, then folded to a reraise.
On the next hand, Cheong was the one opening to 2,500 again, and this time Tehan three-bet all in for his last 24,000 or so, ensuring he wouldn't fold to the four-bet. Cheong called, and the hands were on their backs. It was pocket threes for Tehan, and he was flipping for the double against Cheong's ace-jack.
The
flop was an awful sweat for Tehan, and the
turn left him dead to a chop. The river blanked off, and that's that for Tehan, relegated to the rail here on Day 2.
