Ward in and Chipping Up, Chihwen Chen in Front as First Break
Level 9
: 600/1,200, 200 ante
New Zealand's Thomas Ward has entered the tournament arena and has recently won a decent sized pot from Day 1 frontrunner Hao Su, who is in the process of dropping down the counts presently.
We only caught the action on the river with the community cards spread , but the pot was already sizable one and Ward had fired out a bet of 25,000. Su looked him up, but could only fold when the Kiwi rolled over to take the pot and chip up to 86,000, while Su dropped to 93,100.
It has been all change at the top as well, with Taiwan's Chihwen Chen climbing into the chip lead, though both Chung Yuan Yu and Yang Wang remain near the top of the counts.
