Fold, Fold, Fold Your Boat

Henry B.
Henry B.
From middle position, Henry B. came in raising to 120,000, and he got just one caller as the active Imad Saab came along from the big blind. The two men saw the flop come out {Q-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {2-Clubs}, and Saab checked. That gave Henry his cue to bet 100,000, and his opponent quickly put in the call.

On fourth street, the {2-Diamonds} made things interesting. Saab checked again, and Henry fired out the same 100,000-chip bet. After a moment, Saab moved all in for a total of 504,000, sending Henry deep into the tank. Saab advised his opponent to fold several times before the staff told him to be careful with the table talk. Saab then called the clock on his opponent, and Henry open-mucked {Q-Spades} {J-Diamonds}! A good sport, Imad Saab turned up his {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}, complimenting a truly impressive fold from Henry.

What friendly poker.

Double For Shorty

Nicolas Zakhem made it 155,000 to go from middle position, and the bet came to the short-stacked Omar Geadah in the small blind. Without any hesitation, he moved all in for a total of 229,000 and Zakhem made the call to put Geadah at risk of elimination.

Showdown
Zakhem: {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}
Geadah: {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}

The board would smile on the all-in Geadah, coming out {7-Spades} {8-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {10-Hearts} to double him up to 520,000.

No Early Morning Worries Here

Dealers and supporters watching on
Dealers and supporters watching on
We are soon to tick past the 1am mark here in Lebanon . . . but you could hardly tell while sitting here!

With the final table being set up within a stage like area the chairs are nearly all full with eager onlookers, friends, family and media.

The final table is also being streamed live onto a big screen just beyond the stage so that patrons can smoke and talk while watching all the action unfold.

It is truly a great spectacle here at the Casino Du Liban and the atmosphere is just fantastic.

Oh yeah . . . the Lebanese Poker Championships is still being contested!

Saab Flushes Geadah's Pair

River not kind for Omar
River not kind for Omar
Imad Saab completed from the small blind and Omar Geadah checked his option in the big blind.

The flop of {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} was checked by both players to see the {8-Hearts} peel on the turn, and another round of checks follow.

The river landed the {J-Clubs} and following yet another check from Saab, Geadah fired 70,000 at the pot. Saab thought for a little, before making the call to see Geadah table {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for a rivered pair.

However it would be Saab's {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a flush to take the pot down.

Saab Semi-Bluffs

Nicolas Zakhem opened to 140,000 from the hi-jack before Imad Saab made it 340,000 to go out of the big blind. Zakhem had no trouble making the call to see the {K-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop fall.

Saab cut down his stack, before announcing all in and pushing his last 690,000 into the middle.

Zakhem sat in the tank contemplating a decision for near on three minutes before eventually releasing his hand to the cheers of the crowd.

As the pot was being pushed to Saab, he tabled his {10-Spades}{8-Spades} for a semi-bluff as he moved to 1,390,000 as Zakhem slips to 580,000 in chips.

Rizkallah Mixing It Up

Walid Rizkallah
Walid Rizkallah
With the action folding round to Walid Rizkallah in the small blind he made it 100,000 to go.

Henry B. made the call from the big blind to see the {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop drop and an all in push from Rizkallah follow.

After shaking his head Henry B. reluctantly folded his {10-Spades}{3-Spades} to leave himself with only a few big blinds.

Rizkallah announced that he hadn't seen his cards yet and tabled his {Q-Spades}{8-Hearts} for Queen-high and the pot.

The crowd cheered, while Rizkallah's railbirds looked on disappointed due to his more than needed alcohol consumption during this final table. Chants of cappuccino and expresso have been bellowed by his rail; but currently Rizkallah isn't listening.
