Eye of the Tiger

Marty Wilson is showcasing his survival instincts, nurturing his short stack like a newborn. On the last hand, he fingered his chips momentarily before pushing what appeared to be a stack of 30,000 across the line.

"Make my day," he begged. "Double me up."

On this occasion, however, no one obliged, and Wilson picked up the pot with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}.

"Wahey, we're moving now!"

Set for Sean

[Removed:248] raised to 13,500 from under the gun and Sean van Slujis made the call in the small blind. However, he hadn't realised that button Peter Murphy had yet to act, but after a ruling was made, van Slujis's bet stood. Murphy called, and likely lured in by implied odds, so did Martin Hantiz in the big blind.

On the {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} flop, van Slujis led for 30,000 and received one caller in initial raiser Freymann. A {Q-Diamonds} turn didn't seem to slow him down as van Slujis fired a second time, 30,000 again. On the {7-Diamonds} river, van Slujis made a curious bet of 6,000 which Freymann called as quickly as he did on the turn, but upon being shown {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for the flopped set, threw his hand into the muck.

Freymann down to 160,000.

Paparestis Doubles Up

Cos Paparestis has doubled through Benjamin Juhasz. Juhasz opened UTG to 13,000 and Paparestis 3-bet to 31,500 from the button with 94,000 behind.

Juhasz shoved and Paparestis called instantly.

Juhasz: {A-Spades} {8-Spades}
Paparestis: {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}

Board comes {7-Spades} {k-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} and Paparstis doubles up to 250,000.

Zsombor Ending as Gall is Stoned

The action folded around to Zsombor Gall who raised to 13,500 from the cut-off. Without too much hesitation, Martin Hanitz slid in two stacks worth 40,000 from the big blind.

Gall moved immediately towards his chips, and after meticulously separating columns from his stack, pushed five of them across the line with a single yellow chip to boot - a total reraise to 105,000.

Hanitz sat back in his chair, mulled for a minute, before announcing all-in. Gall swiftly called.

Hanitz = {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Gall {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

He was an underdog before the hand, but by the {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} he was an underpuppy, and on the {Q-Diamonds} he was drawing dead. The {2-Spades} river was therefore academic, and Hanitz scooped in a monstrous 600,000 pot.

Gall, meanwhile, exited moments later, down to 25,000, his {K-?}{5-?} unable to conquer the {Q-?}{7-?} of James Mitchell. Shell shocked, he exited the room.

Mad Marty Doubles

Marty Wilson has doubled his microstack after his {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} held against Cos Paparestis' {5-Hearts} {3-Hearts} on a {10-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {2-Clubs}. Wilson gave himself a huge cheer on the end having doubled through.

A Cooler For Frost

Lars Frost has been eliminated pushing {K-Spades} {Q-Spades} on a {Q-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {8-Clubs} but James Mitchell was able to club him to death holding {10-Clubs} {6-Clubs} for a flopped flush that held on a {A-Hearts} turn and {2-Clubs} river.

Chip Daddies

Apart from the feature table which I'm unable to access, all the current chip leaders appear to be on one foreboding table where even the smallest stack, Peter Murphy, has 175,000.

The dominant forces on the Table of Doom are:

James Mitchell - 375,000
Sean van Slujis -- 500,000
Martin Hanitz -- 570,000

Chip Sons

At the other end of the spectrum, there are several players struggling with less than 100,000 in chips.

Maurice Whelan -- 55,000
Paul Lenferty -- 65,000
Sofia Lovgren -- 85,000
Marty Wilson -- 90,000
Tom Harlon -- 95,000
