"Six Wins"

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Vic Peppe limped in from under the gun and was raised to 800 by Jeff Maas, who was in the hijack. Michael Williams called out of the small blind, as did Peppe to take postflop action three ways. The flop fell {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} and Williams checked.

"Three of us?" asked Peppe once action was upon him. The dealer confirmed and he fired out a bet of 1,000. Maas called and Williams folded to get out of their way. Both players then checked through the turn {j-Spades} and river {9-Hearts} to take the hand to showdown.

"I have a six," said Peppe, tabling {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

"Six wins," replied Maas, sending his cards to the muck.

Bloomberg Wins on Turn

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

There was around 1,500 in the pot on a board of {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} from what appeared to be a multiway limped pot preflop. Michael Williams was in the small blind and had bet 1,200, earning a call from Daniel Schmidtknecht in middle position.

Mark Bloomberg then threw out a raise to 3,500 from the button and both players deliberated before calling, taking action three ways to the turn {4-Spades}. Action then checked to Bloomberg, who put out a bet of 8,000.

Williams thought for some time and eventually let his hand go. Schmidtknecht quickly folded behind and Bloomberg took down the pot.

Meanwhile, Mark Sandness was eliminated from the tournament on Table 2 and wasted no time rebuying, taking his new seat at Table 1 to bring the total number of entries up to 18.

Beasy Applies the Pressure

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

There was 2,500 in the middle from preflop action between Jon Hanner in the big blind, Kou Vang in middle position, and Joseph Beasy, who was on the button.

The flop fell {3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Hanner bet 1,100 and Vang called to put action on Beasy, who put ou ta raise to 4,000. Hanner quickly folded to put action back on Vang, who thought for about 40 seconds before sending his cards to the muck.

The turn came {a-Hearts} and Vang checked. Beasy put out another 4,000, sending Vang back into the tank. Eventually, he let his hand go and the pot was sent Beasy's way.

Jesse Rockowitz
Jesse Rockowitz

Erick Wright got the last of his chips all in preflop from the cutoff and received action from Jesse Rockowitz, who was in middle position.

Erick Wright: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Jesse Rockowitz: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Wright ran his deuces into Rockowitz's sixes and was in need of finding a third to stay alive. He was unable to do so as the board ran out {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}, sending him to the rail at the expense of Rockowitz.

Williams Flops Trips

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Action was four ways to a flop of {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and both Vic Peppe and Daniel Schmidtknecht checked from the small- and big blind, respectively. Jeff Maas was under the gun and bet 1,500. He was called by Michael Williams, who was on the button, as well as Peppe. Schmidtknecht folded and action proceeded three-handed.

The turn came {10-Clubs} and action checked to Williams. He bet 2,800 and both Schmidtknecht and Maas called. The river fell {8-Clubs} and all three players checked to take the hand to showdown.

Peppe tabled {8-Spades}{4-} for a turned double gutshot straight that missed, picking up two pair on the river. Maas tabled {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a higher two pair, and Williams showed {7-Clubs}{5-Spades} for trip sevens, good to earn him the pot and bring him north of two starting stacks in the process.
