There was a little under 20,000 in the middle on a board of and action was on Mark Sandness, who was in the hijack and facing a bet of 8,200 from Daniel Schmidtknecht, who was on the button.
Sandness thought for over a minute and eventually tossed in one chip to signify a call. Schmidtknecht balked at tabling his hand immediately and Sandness turned over .
"Nice call," said Schmidtknecht as he sent his cards to the muck to result in the pot being sent Sandness' way.

Daniel Schmidtknecht went all in for 4,100 from the button on a flop of into a pot of 4,400 and received a call from Mark Sandness, who was in the hijack.
Daniel Schmidtknecht:
Mark Sandness:
Schmidknecht shoved with a gutshot straight flush draw and was called by Sandness' two overcards with a better gutshot straight draw. The turn and river completed the runout and the dealer pointed to Sandness' jack to indicate it played and made his hand best. Schmidknecht acknowledged the matter and got up from his seat to leave the tournament area, having been eliminated from the tournament as the pot was sent to Sandness.

Jared Koppel was on the button and had action on him with 5,800 out in front of him already. He was facing a reraise all in for just under 16,000 from Jeff Maas, who was in the small blind. Eventually, he decided to toss in a chip to call.
Jeff Maas:
Jared Koppel:
Maas' queens were out in front until the flop came . He let out a bit of a groan upon seeing the flop and the turn fell behind it . He acknowledged his likely fate and began to sit up from his seat as the river fell, creating a slight pause to see if he had hit a two outer to stay alive. Alas, he did not and he finished getting up to make his way out of the tournament area as the event's most recent casualty.

Jared Koppel was under the gun and opened the action with a raise to 1,100. Ian Matakis called him from middle position, as did Mark Bloomberg from the hijack. Action then folded to Vic Peppe, who defended his big blind to take action to the streets four ways.
Action checked through the flop , bringing the turn . Peppe, first to act, bet 1,500. Koppel quickly folded and Matakis threw out chips to call. Bloomberg then folded.
With action heads up, the river fell and Peppe checked. Matakis announced he was all in for what looked to be around a pot-sized bet, and Peppe wasted no time sending his cards to the muck.

William Marvin limped from under the gun and was raised to 2,100 by Kou Vang, who was in the hijack. Action folded back to Marvin and he made the call.
The flop came and Marvin checked. Vang made a continuation-bet of 1,800 and Marvin called. The turn came and Marvin checked again. Vang tossed out a bet of 4,600. Marvin announced he was all in before Vang's chips hit the felt, and Vang's cards went to the muck immediately thereafter to earn Marvin the pot.
Upon winning the pot, the tournament director asked for the next big blind to move tables. Marvin was that player and he was moved to the seat formerly occupied by Daniel Schmidtknecht, who had just been eliminated from the tournament. However, he immediately rebought and just took the seat formerly occupied by Marvin in a dance of $2,500 musical chairs.

Kou Vang opened to 1,200 from middle position and was three-bet to 3,200 by Jeff Petronack, who was in the cutoff. Action folded back to Vang and he put out chips to call. The flop fell and action went check-check.
The turn was and Vang checked. Petronack bet 3,000 and Vang put out chips to call. The river came and Vang checked again. Petronack put out a bet of 6,000 and Vang went into the tank for over a minute. He then counted out his stack and tossed in calling chips.
Petronack tabled for two kings and nines with an ace kicker, good to earn him the pot as Vang sent his cards to the muck.
