Lu Loses Some

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Xiaojie Lu was involved in a bigger pot with some 12,500 to the river of a board {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and he opted to check. His table neighbor made it 7,200 to go for nearly half the pot and Lu gave it just brief consideration before sending his cards into the muck.

Noda and Kim Up for the Day

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Hiroyuki Noda and Jin Woo Kim have both chipped up nicely with the former on almost two times the starting stack.

Noda just flat-called a raise to 600 while in the cutoff and called a continuation bet on the heads-up flop of {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. His opponent bet the {10-Hearts} turn and Noda instantly folded.

The same table also features Lei Yu as well.

First Break on Day 1b

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

The first three levels are completed and the screens show 300 entries for Day 1b of which 280 players remain, who all headed into a 15-minute break. Along with the 252 entries of the first flight, that already brings up the total entries to 552 and it seems very plausible that the record of the last year will be surpassed.

Peng Cracks Aces

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Dongsheng Peng tangled in a preflop raising war as a shorter stack for his 23,800 in preflop and Peng made the call to see the best two starting hands clash.

While Peng was trailing preflop with {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} versus {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, he gained the lead on the {k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop. The {2-Clubs} turn and {q-Spades} river brought no change and Peng cracked aces to get a head start for Day 1b.

Deng Elimminated by Hong

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Nan Hong
Nan Hong

As excellent as the start of Jun Deng into Day 1b was, that all but vanished and he was sent to the rail in the fourth level. On a three-way flop of {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Deng checked out of the small blind and Nan Hong did so in the hijack. The cuoff bet 3,300 and Deng called, Hong raised to 13,200 and that forced out the cutoff.

Deng moved all in for 20,300 and Hong called instantly.

Jun Deng: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Nan Hong: {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

Deng needed a four but the {q-Hearts} turn and {6-Hearts} river kept Hong in the lead.
