Who Will Slay "Cash King" Bob Tweten as the Next FPN Champ?

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In last year’s FPN Championship, which was deemed the “Cash King Championship,” it was Dakota Poker Tour (DPT) regular Bob Tweten who finished as the last player standing for $25,000 in cold hard cash. He's back in 2020 to attempt a title defense after he qualified by winning his bar’s TOC.

Last year, Tweten had qualified for Vegas after finishing as the League Champ at El Roco Bar in Grand Forks, North Dakota. While in Sin City, he failed to win his way into the Main Event via the League Champ Freeroll, but he tried his hand at a Last Chance Cash Qualifier and won his way in.

Prior to the $25K score, Tweten’s only documented tournament cash on The Hendon Mob was a mere $1,116 for finishing in seventh place in a 2017 Grand Poker Series $150 No-Limit Hold’em Daily tournament.

Here’s a look back at Tweten claiming victory in the FPN “Cash King” Promotion:

Huge Bounties Awarded Today

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Tracy Leonard - $2K Winner
Tracy Leonard - $2K Winner

Each of the 200 players who started the day received a bounty envelope to award to the person that knocks them out. Of those 200, only 65 contain cash prizes while the others say "Keep Hunting Those Bounties!".

$10,000 in cash and prizes are up for grabs but the biggest prizes have already been captured.

Mike Marek and Dennis Duncan were shocked to open envelopes containing $1,000 but the biggest shock came to Tracy Leonard. Leonard knocked a short stack out adding few chips to her growing number but when she opened her envelope, she was shocked. The $2,000 dollar top prize was found making all of the other players at the table drop their jaws. Leonard is still in the running for the cash but if she comes up short, she won't be too disappointed.

The Big Stack Keeps on Climbing

Level 12 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Marilyn Ragan

With blinds at 3,000/6,000 and 15 players until the money, players have started to tighten up. Action folded around to Marilyn Ragan in the small blind who min raised at 12,000. The player in the big blind looked at his cards for the first time and immediately shoved all in for 22,000. Ragan made the call and the cards were turned over.

Marilyn Ragan: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Big Blind: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

"Ace or King!" shouted the big blind player but the flop came {8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

"Hold!" shouted Ragan and her wishes were granted as the {q-Diamonds} came on the turn.

Only one player noticed the {q-Spades} on the river and said "Are you kidding? Marilyn you got quads!"

We are now down to 41 players inching closer and closer to the money.
