Double-Ups! Get Your Double-Ups!

We join the action on the flop in a heads-up pot with more than 160,000 chips already in the center. The board shows {K-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}. Patrice Sitbon checks to his opponent, and Willy Korchia moves all in for 188,100. Sitbon goes deep into the think tank, pondering his options as he counts his chips and re-checks his cards. After five minutes or more, he finally says, "Okay," as he pushes the call into the middle.

Korchia tables his {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts}, and it's the leading hand versus Sitbon's {10-Spades} {10-Clubs}. The turn and river fail to find Sitbon, coming {8-Hearts} and {6-Clubs} respectively. Sitbon grants another double up, and finds himself bleeding chips here in the early going. He has fallen all the way back into the 300,000-chip range after starting the day as the commanding chip leader.
