Schwartz Double-Barrels Two Opponents

Luke Schwartz holding {j-Spades}{6-Spades} raised it up to 14,000 preflop, Daniel Negreanu called with {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and David Benyamine trying to ride his rush called with {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

The players saw a {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop, and Benyamine checked his open-ended straight draw to Schwartz who continuation-bet to 27,000. Negreanu decided to come along, with Hellmuth in the booth noting "Daniel must have a read on Schwartz to float there with Benyamine behind him." Benyamine made the call as well.

The turn was the {10-Spades}, and Benyamine checked again to Schwartz who didn't think twice before counting out his bet of 70,000. This sent Hellmuth into a fury, stating "how can you bluff again on the turn into two opponents!" Negreanu folded, and so did Benyamine.

Schwartz immediately said to Negreanu "you try to float me on that flop for 27,000?" as he collected his chips.

Schwartz is up to 399,000, while Negreanu dips to 279,000 and Benyamine to 317,000.

Negreanu "Owned"

Daniel Negreanu opened the action to 8,000 with {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}, and was called by Phil Laak with {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and Luke Schwartz with {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The players saw a {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} flop, and it was checked around.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and Negreanu and Laak checked to Schwartz who bet 20,000. Negreanu called, and Laak folded.

The flop came down {8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and De Wolfe quickly checked to Safina who bet 17,000. With absolutely no hesitation De Wolfe folded his kings, and Hellmuth in the booth said "De Wolfe could not have played that hand any worse."

De Wolfe Getting Feisty

Roland De Wolfe after his laydown of kings, has won four consecutive pots including the second pair of kings we just spoke aboutin the previous post.

With {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, De Wolfe pulled a squeeze play coming over the top of Daniel Negreanu's {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Phil Laak's {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The next hand, De Wolfe floated a {j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop with {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, which was behind David Benyamine's pocket sevens. When Benyamine checked the {9-Spades} turn, De Wolfe bet 60,000 and Benyamine folded.

De Wolfe was back at it one more time raising to 14,000 with {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} getting called by Negreanu, holding {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The flop was {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and De Wolfe led out for 25,000 prompting a quick fold from Negreanu.

The flop brought the {q-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Laak bet 36,000. De Wolfe made the call and Safina got out of the way.

The {4-Diamonds} fell on the turn and both players checked their way to the river.

When the {3-Hearts} came on the river, both players again checked and Laak took the pot.

Negreanu Licking His Chops

No chop-licking in poker Daniel...
No chop-licking in poker Daniel...
Luke Schwartz opened to 16,000 from the button and Daniel Negreanu with two queens bumped it up to 52,000 in the small blind. Schwartz made the smart fold, and Negreanu mentioned that he mentally licked his chops when he saw his hand. Negreanu then gave us the physical demonstration of what he pictured himself doing in his head and literally licked his chops.
