Safina Out To Early Lead

On a flop of {K-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Giovanni Safina held {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and David Benyamine held {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Daniel Negreanu was also in the hand and held {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

Safina checked and Benyamine checked. Negreanu fired 12,000. Safina called and then Benyamine raised to 32,000. Negreanu got out of the way and Safina made the call.

The turn was the {7-Clubs}, pairing the board and giving Safina a flush draw. He checked and Benyamine checked behind.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Safina bet out 47,000. Benyamine folded and Safina picked up the pot.

Three Sevens for Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu raised again to 6,000, holding {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} this time. Roland De Wolfe three-bet to 18,000 with the {K-Spades}{4-Spades} from the button and Negreanu called.

The flop came down {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Negreanu checked. De Wolfe checked behind.

The turn gave Negreanu a set with the {7-Diamonds} falling. He led out with a bet of 36,000 and De Wolfe mucked his hand.

Safina Increases with Full House

Giovanni Safina was under the gun and raised six times the big blind to 12,000. He held {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. Roland De Wolfe called from middle position with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and then Vanessa Rousso called from the big blind with the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{4-Hearts} and action checked around. The turn was the {K-Clubs} and Rousso fired 25,000. Safina called and De Wolfe folded.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Rousso fired 25,000. Safina called again and won with the better full house.

De Wolfe Out-kicked

Roland De Wolfe raised to 6,000 with the {K-Spades}{3-Spades} and Phil Hellmuth called from the next seat holding the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

The flop gave both players top pair when it came {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. De Wolfe fired 10,000 and Hellmuth called.

The turn went check, check after the {9-Hearts} fell.

The river completed the board with the {4-Diamonds} and De Wolfe checked. Hellmuth fired out a value bet for 20,000 and De Wolfe called. Hellmuth won the pot with two pair, kings and nines, and the queen kicker.
