De Wolfe Almost Doubles

Roland De Wolfe raised preflop and was called by Phil Hellmuth. De Wolfe held {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Hellmuth held {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

Both players flopped huge with the flop coming {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. De Wolfe fired 34,000 and then Hellmuth made it 100,000 to go. De Wolfe moved all in for 188,000 and Hellmuth called.

The turn was the {A-Spades} and guaranteed a chop. The river was the {Q-Spades} and although Hellmuth hit his queen, it didn't matter. The two chopped up the pot and De Wolfe was still alive, but without a double up.

Still No Schwartz

Luke Schwartz still hasn't been back to play a hand since he won that big pot with aces. He's stopped by the room a few times, but only to check things out.

The stuffed monkey has been removed from his seat and Roland De Wolfe has put the Darth Vader mask in its place.

Rousso Staying Tight

Vanessa Rousso
Vanessa Rousso
Phil Hellmuth opened to 30,000 with the {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and action folded to Vanessa Rousso on the button. She looked down at the {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and took some time. She decided to fold, continuing her snug play in order to try and moves up spots to gain some more points. Hellmuth picked up the pot.

Hellmuth Tanks Staring at Kermit and Darth Vader

This is what Hellmuth has to look at
This is what Hellmuth has to look at
David Benyamine raised the button with the {K-?}{9-?} offsuit. Phil Hellmuth called from the small blind with the {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and then Tony G moved all in for 246,000 from the big blind with the {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Benyamine folded and then Hellmuth went into the tank. Roland De Wolfe gave Tony G the Kermit the Frog mask and Tony G put it on. De Wolfe put the Darth Vader mask on and both were seated next to one another directly across the table from Hellmuth. While he tanked, he had to stare at two charatcers on the other end of the table.

Hellmuth debated whether or not he should gamble, but eventually folded his hand. Tony G collected the pot and kept the mask on along with De Wolfe.

What's the Law?

There's a law in Nevada that you can't cover your face in a casino. Daniel Negreanu questioned whether or not wearing the masks was legal and complained a little bit about Roland De Wolfe and Tony G wearing the masks. The tournament staff is going to check in on whether or not the law is true. We'll see what happens and let you know.

Schwartz is Back in Full Force

Schwartz is back in the building
Schwartz is back in the building
Luke Schwartz came back and looked down at the {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}. He limped from under the gun and then David Benyamine limped beeind from middle position with the {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. vanessa Rousso checked her option in the big blind with the {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Rousso checked after picking up an open-ended straight draw. Schwartz bet 30,000 and then Benyamine thought about it for a little bit. While he was thinking, Schwartz started going on about how Benyamine was angling him. Eventually, Benyamine made the call. Rousso called as well.

The turn was the {K-Hearts} and Rousso checked. Schwartz thought the card was so sick and talked about he hated it. He eventually checked over to Benyamine and told him to go ahead. Benyamine was tanking and Schwartz was needling him into betting, saying that if Benyamine bet, he'd move all in so fast that Benyamine wouldn't know what hit him. The dealer than warned Schwartz that there was three players in the hand and that he needed to keep quiet.

Benyamine then bet 123,000 with just his pair of sixes. Rousso folded and Schwartz began going on about how he thought Benyamine just smacked a pair of kings on the turn after flopping a king-high flush draw. After a minute went by...

"F*** it! F*** it!" Schwartz announced, splash-shoving his chips across the line into the middle. "With my heads up game, I'll beat anyone in this PartyPoker!" he yelled out as he stood up just after shoving in. Benyamine quickly folded his hand and Schwartz let him have it.

First, he walked a little towards Benyamine and pumped his hands at him, celebrating that he won the hand by reading the situation correctly. "In your eye David Benyamine! You think you can angle me?!?! You just got so pwned!" he yelled out.

Schwartz paced around as the dealer pushed the pot his way. "Thinks he's 10 years older than me so he knows!" he went on to say. "I had just a pair of jacks!"

Here's the Ruling

The ruling is in and the masks have been removed. Tony G and Roland De Wolfe were forced to take off the masks because it is not allowed to cover your face while you're in the casino. The tournament director took the masks away from the table and Tony G and De Wolfe looked a little bummed out like two kids having their favorite toys taken away.
