"Would You Have Called More?"

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante
Jyrki Lampinen
Jyrki Lampinen

Jyrki Lampinen bet 700 into a pot of around 1,000 on the river with the {6-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} on the board after the action checked around on the flop and turn.

Lars Jonsson raised to 3,000 and Lampinen quickly called. Lampinen seemed displeased and said something under his breath after Jonsson turned over {a-Spades}{4-Spades} for the nut flush.

"Would you have called for more?" asked Jonsson.

"Of course!" proclaimed Lampinen.

"For 6,000?" asked Jonsson.

"Yes, and maybe more," Lampinen answered.

Lampinen won a multi-way pot a few hands later to get some of his chips back.

Johan Guilbert and Lena Evans
Johan Guilbert and Lena Evans

Mati Pirn bet 2,100 into a pot of around 4,000 with the {6-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} on the board and got a call from Johan Guilbert.

Pirn checked after the {3-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Guilbert paused for a minute before he fired out an overbet of 19,025, more than covering the 15,000 Pirn had left in his stack. Pirn went into the tank for two minutes before he folded.

First Bullet Dusted for Alakorva

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante
Veli-Pekka Alakorva
Veli-Pekka Alakorva

Veli-Pekka Alakorva, also known in Finland as just VP, just dusted off his first bullet and is onto his second.

In the last hand of his first bullet he cold-called a three-bet from Tanel Evert and another player also came along to the flop.

Evert and Alakorva went back and forth on the {a-}{q-}{7-} flop before Alakorva's stack was committed. Alakorva was in trouble with {q-}{8-} against Evert's {a-}{k-}.

Alakorva blanked the turn and the river and headed to the registration desk with a handful of cash ready to re-enter.

Sey Gets Some Value

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante
Hassan Sey
Hassan Sey

Hassan Sey is a well-known sight here in the Olympic Park Casino in Tallinn, and he got some traction in the early stages at the expense of Joakim Wickstrom. The board was completed with {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Sey bet 10,000, which Wickstrom called.

Sey turned over {9-Spades}{6-Spades} for trip nines and Wickstrom mucked.
