Berndtson Doubles Starting Stack

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante
Touko Berndtson
Touko Berndtson

Feras Abid opened to 400 from early position before Touko Berndtson called from middle position. Dan Michaeli called from middle position as did Abid.

Abid checked the {2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} flop. Berndtson fired out a continuation bet of 1,000 before Michaeli raised to 2,500. Abid folded and Berndtson called.

Berndtson check-called a bet of 3,000 after the {k-Spades} came on the turn. Berndtson checked again after the {4-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Michaeli bet 3,400. A minute passed by before Berndtson made the call.

Michaeli tabled {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and the pot went over the Berndtson who subsequently turned over {a-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Can Jussi Mattila Make it Four?

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante
Jussi Mattila
Jussi Mattila

Finland's Jussi Mattila has just joined the field and has been making a name for himself in tournaments despite him previously being better known for playing big cash games.

Mattila has played three live tournaments this year and final tabled all three including a fourth place finish in the MPNPT Tallinn Main Event, a third place finish in the Kings of Tallinn Main Event, and most recently a runner-up performance in last night's PAPC €550 PLO event.

Before the tournament began, Mattila shared with PokerNews: "I got a fourth, third, and second. I might save my next tournament to the WSOP Main Event when I am playing over the summer. I am bound to finish first, right?"

Mattila will no doubt be thrilled with a win here as he has been chasing a trophy after some final table finishes last year as well. Time will tell if Mattila's impressive final table streak will continue.

"YoH_Viral" Takes His Time

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante
Martin Berge & Johan Guilbert
Martin Berge & Johan Guilbert

On a {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, Martin Berge checked, Johan "YoH_Viral" Guilbert bet 1,800, Jurijs Binklers folded, and Berge called.

The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and Berge checked. Guilbert bet 3,800 and Berge countered with a check-raise to 8,800. This prompted a deep tank from Guilbert, who took several minutes before sliding in a call.

On the {a-Spades} river, Berge bet 11,175 and once again, the French professional took ages to come to a decision. It took him the better part of five minutes, spent between seizing up Berge, chatting up his opponent and looking confused at the board, to finally give it up.

"Sorry guys," Guilbert apologetically said to his table mates in regard to the timeframe.

Molderkivi Chips Up

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

There was already 5,000 in the pot before {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop. Two players checked before Veli-Pekka Alakorva bet 2,075. Rain Molderkivi three-bet to 8,300 before Alakorva and Bahadir Hatipoglu, who made a name for himself by appearing at the Kings of Tallinn Main Event final table in February, was the only player to call.

Hatipoglu checked after the {j-Hearts} came on the turn and Molderkivi bet 6,100. Hatipoglu paused for two minutes before he folded.

Piller Doubles Off Hatipoglu

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante
Bahadir Hatipoglu
Bahadir Hatipoglu

Tiit Piller jammed his stack of 16,500 after the {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Spades} came on the flop with 13,000 in the middle. Bahadir Hatipoglu, who is one the players to re-enter once today, paused for 20 seconds before he called.

"Kings?" asked Piller as he turned over {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

He seemed surprised that his opponent turned over {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for middle pair and a backdoor flush draw.

Piller began to stand up after the {10-Hearts} came on the turn opening up a straight draw and flush draw for his opponent.

"Yes!" screamed Piller so loud people from other tables looked over after the {2-Diamonds} came on the river. He headed over to Veli-Pekka Alakorva, who is also at his table, for a high five before he sat down.

Hatipoglu began to walk away before Piller called him back saying he still had some chips.

Five-Way Action at Table 11

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

The action started off rather innocuous with Kaspars Renga limping in. Jussi Mattila bumped it to 700 and received calls from Kaupo Tenno, Joakim Wickstrom, Jere Kankaanranta, and Renga as well. The {7-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop brought five checks.

On the {j-Diamonds} turn, Kankaanranta bet 2,000, Mattila called, and Tenno called as well. The {7-Diamonds} river brought three rapid checks. Kankaanranta had nothing with {8-Spades}{6-Spades}, Mattila showed {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}, but Tenno was best with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} to scoop.

Easy Double for Tori

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante

Holding {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, Mairo Tori was all in for 12,100 on a {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop against the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} of Jari Mahonen. The {10-Hearts} turn and {4-Spades} river provided an easy double for the Estonian. Mahonen, one of the most accomplished players in the field today with over $500,000 in lifetime winnings, could take the hit and is still at 47,000.
