Day 2 Begins at Noon Local Time; Hunichen Leads & Late Registration Remains Open
On Day 1, 106 entries took their seats in the $5,300 MILLIONS Finale at the Caribbean Poker Party Festival, but just 65 will return Friday for Day 2 action. At the head of the pack is Chris Hunichen, who recently shipped the $25,500 MILLIONS Super High Roller here in Punta Cana and will take 3,897,000 chips out of the bag when cards fly at noon. Diego Ventura (3,462,000), Ming Zhe Zhang (3,431,000), Vojtech Ruzicka (3,361,000), and Conor Beresford (3,155,000) round out the top five stacks and were the only other players to bag more than 3 million chips.
In addition to the current chip leaders, many more familiar faces advanced to Day 2, including partypoker Sponsored Pro Roberto Romanello (2,908,000), Steve O'Dwyer (2,820,000), Koray Aldemir (2,534,000), partypoker Sponsored Pro Natalia Breviglieri (2,502,000),John Duthie (2,361,000), partypoker Sponsored Pro Kristen Bicknell (2,299,000), partypoker Sponsored Pro Marcel Luske (1,953,000), Jonathan Little (1,806,000), partypoker Sponsored Pro Anatoly Filatov (1,530,000), Kenny Hallaert (1,228,000), Barny Boatman (1,048,000), and Adrian Mateos (737,000).
Late registration and re-entry will continue to be available until the beginning of level 13, which is scheduled to occur at approximately 4:30 p.m.
