Good morning and welcome to Day 1b coverage of the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Russia Main Event which gets underway at Noon local time at the Sochi Casino and Resort.
Yesterday saw the completion of the first live flight as Day 1a attracted 201 entrants, with 106 taking chips forward to Day 2 on Friday, August, 10.
Today will match yesterday's structure, with eight 60-minute levels being played out before those who survive bag and tag their chips. When the action begins, all players will be sat with a 1million starting stack, with blinds in level one set at 5,000/10,000 with a 5,000 button ante.

The Main Event comes with a RUB300,000+18,000 (~$4,900) buy-in and features a massive guarantee of 300 Million Russian Rubles (approximately $4.7 Million).
Ukrainian Oleksii Kravchuk is the man to beat so far after he bagged an impressive 5,055,000 last night. There is expected to be some big names and numbers taking part today with the likes of Maria Lampropulos in action yesterday, as well as several live satellites also completed.

Among the Day 1b, starting field is German player Dirk Bueker who has a unique story about how he found his way to the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Russia Main Event today.
Bueker who a promotion online at partypoker to play at the Sochi Casino Circuit event earlier this year and was part of the Golden Chip last long promotion. Well, Bueker saw his luck continue as he was the last player standing with a Golden Chip and won entry into today's Day 1b MILLION Main Event.

After starting as one of the shortest stack, partypoker ambassador Dzmitry Urbanovich shot up to the top of the leader board and is in prime position to claim the top prize of RUB10,800,000 in the RUB60,000+6,000 Open (~$1,050). The first major event of the 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Russia poker festival at the Sochi Casino and Resort attracted a field of exactly 1,000 entries and the top 119 spots were paid.
On Day 3, a total of 73 players returned to the tables of the new main poker room and a lot of big names were still in contention. Among them were Konstantin Puchkov, 2017 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Russia Main Event finalist Anatolii Zyrin, Vitaly Lunkin, Tatiana Barausova, Oleksii Kravchuk, Dragos Trofimov and MILLIONS champion Aleksandr Gofman. All of them busted throughout the day and Kravchuk entered Day 1A of the Main Event to claim the biggest stack. Gofman signed up for the Triton Poker High Roller and bagged up, but will return with just nine big blinds for the respective Day 2.
Puchkov flopped bottom two pair against the top pair of Georgi Shkulukhia, who turned the better two pair with ace-nine. Just before the end of the day, Tatiana Barausova was ousted by Orkhan Allahverdyev. She three-bet small preflop with and called a bet on a king-high flop before getting it in on the turn with a gutshot. Allahverdyev called with for top pair and held up.
Urbanovich won several big pots that propelled him to the lead, such as a flush over flush against Grair Nazaryan. The very same opponent then used six time bank extensions to fold pocket queens face up preflop when Urbanovich five-bet all in, and that capped off a very successful day for the partypoker ambassador.
All remaining ten finalists have RUB510,000 locked up for their efforts and the winner takes home RUB10,800,000. Action has recommenced at 12 p.m. local time with two five-handed tables and blinds of 1,200,000/2,500,000 with a button ante of 2,500,000. The chip counts of the final 10 can be found below:

Viktor Troyanovskiy found himself down to around 350,000 early on in this first level and then had the misfortune to run his ace-queen suited into the aces of Igor Sharaskin.
Sharakin himself had found the proceedings difficult from the off as he only had a 300,000 stack behind him before the start of the hand. But his aces held to secure a full double with Troyanovskiy left with only 54,000.
Just a couple of hands later Troyanovskiy moved all in from early position and was called by the player in the big blind. Troyanovskiy tabled and was up against . The board was no help for Troyanovskiy, and he exited Day 1b within the first 45 minutes of play.
