Gruissem Joines; Kiryl Radzivonau Takes From Tsoy

Level 5 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante
Philipp Gruissem
Philipp Gruissem

partypoker ambassador Phil Gruissem has taken his Day 1c Main Event seat after having played and exited from the Triton Super High Roller earlier today, and there was immediate action for him to watch at his table.

The play folded around to Kiryl Radzivonau on the button and his raise was called by Sergey Tsoy in the big blind. The flop came down {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and Tsoy check-called a bet from Radzivonau. The turn brought the {7-Spades} and this time Radzivonau fired for 110,000 after Tsoy had checked, and the latter called again.

After the river card was revealed to be the {8-Clubs}, Tsoy led for 125,000. Radzivonau, however, wasn't going anywhere and raised to 350,000, which Tsoy called after a few seconds of thought. Radzivonau, who has $2,082,093 in recorded live tournament cashes, tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for two pair and Tsoy mucked.

Win One and Lose One for Aldemir

Level 6 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Koray Aldemir has just been involved in two back-to-back pots, winning one and losing one.

In the first hand, he faced an all-in for 500,000 into a pot of around 900,000 with the board down {9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Aldemir decided to fold on this occasion.

In the next hand, the German defended his big blind after Roman Zhuravlev had opened with a raise to 40,000 from the cutoff. The flop came down {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Aldemir check-called a 40,000 continuation bet to see the {q-Spades} turn. Aldemir checked once more and called a second street barrel from Zhuravlev for 105,000. The river was the {6-Hearts}, and both players checked to a showdown.

Aldemir tabled {5-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a pair of fives, and it was enough to win the pot after Zhuravlev mucked.

Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

Ludovic Geilich recently jumped into Day 1c action after previously playing in yesterday's Day 1b. But it was a case of different day, same luck for the Scot after he was unable to build a stack and busted not too long ago.

The partypoker ambassador will have the chance to re-enter today, so try his luck in the first three levels of Day 2 tomorrow.
