Farrell Wins on the River

Level 11 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Nikolay Dementiev raised from middle position and saw Andrey Pateychuk, in the small blind, and Niall Farrell, in the big blind, make the call. Both players in the blinds checked to Dementiev on the {2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop, and he bet 60,000, with only Farrell calling.

Heads-up to the {4-Spades} turn, Farrell led with a 150,000 bet which Dementiev called.

After the river card was revealed to be the {j-Clubs}, Farrell bet again, this time big for 510,000. Dementiev gave his decision a few moments of thought before he passed his cards to the deal as Farrell picked up the pot.

In the meantime, Farrell's fellow Scot Ludovic Geilich has chipped up to 2.6m.

ElkY Loses a Small One; Gulyy Busts Kurilenko

Level 12 : 15,000/35,000, 35,000 ante
Bertrand Grospellier
Bertrand Grospellier

Joining the action on the {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier bet 125,000 and Rustem Muratov raised it up to 300,000 in the cutoff, Grospellier called. Both checked the {K-Clubs} turn and the {5-Hearts} river and Grospellier showed the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. Muratov had that beat with the {A-Spades}{4-Spades} for two pair and raked in the pot.

Also in the Triton Poker room, Evgeniy Kurilenko pushed his short stack in the cutoff and Andrey Gulyy reshoved on the button to force out the blinds including Manig Loeser.

Evgeniy Kurilenko: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Andrey Gulyy: {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop gave Gulyy middle pair and Kurilenko a gutshot, while the {6-Clubs} turn added a flush draw on top. However, it wasn't meant to be for Kurilenko, who bricked off with the {5-Spades} river to join the rail.

Level 12 : 15,000/35,000, 35,000 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

The board was down {3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, and Ludovic Geilich was heads-up against Yury Tuzov.

Tuzov had checked the river, and with a stack of around 1,500,000 behind him, he was put to the ultimate test by Geilich who bet 2,000,000. Tuzov thought about his decision for a minute before he put his tournament life on the line and called.

Geilich flipped over {7-Spades}{4-Spades} for the flopped straight, and Tuzov's pocket fours went into the muck as he exited from the table.

partypoker ambassador Geilich who joined the Day 2 action midway through level 10 moved his chip stack up to 5.3m.

Mikhno Wins Big Pot on Feature Table

Level 12 : 15,000/35,000, 35,000 ante

Oleg Pavlyuchuk raised to 70,000 with the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and was called by Stepan Mikhno in the hijack with {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and big stack Sergey Zybin with the {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} in the small blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and action checked to Pavlyuchuk, who continued for 175,000. Both opponents called to see the {7-Spades} on the turn, and again it was checked to Pavlyuchuk, who bet 375,000 and was called both ways.

The {9-Spades} river killed all the action and the trio checked, Mikhno was last to show and was clearly frustrated when raking in the pot.
