Militsa Makes Way

Level 18 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Aliaksei Militsa started the day with 25 big blinds and has been unable to spin it into a big stack. The player from Belarus found himself down to just 300,000 and all in with ace-king against his opponent's ace-seven. Militsa was able to hold on this occasion, but in the very next hand, and up against the same opponent the outcome was different.

Militsa was dealt ace-ten and up against pocket tens. There was to be no miracle board for Militsa and he exited the tournament early on Day 3, and short of the money spots.

Pilkington Doubles Through Yaroshevskyy

Level 18 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Jessica Pilkington
Jessica Pilkington

In a three-bet pot between Shyngis Satubayev and Vladimir Troyanovskiy in the small blind, the latter checked the {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop and Satubayev bet 850,000 for around half of the pot. That was enough to force a fold from Troyanovskiy.

Jessica Pilkington defended her small blind against Igor Yaroshevskyy and checked the {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop. Yaroshevskyy bet 300,000 and Pilkington check-raised all in for 1,820,000 to receive a call from Yaroshevskyy.

Jessica Pilkington: {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Igor Yaroshevskyy: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The {2-Clubs} on the turn immediately locked up the double for Pilkington, which made the {Q-Clubs} river a mere formality.

Said Butba raised to 200,000 and Vladislav Vinagradov three-bet all in for 2,220,000 in the cutoff. Jack Sinclair on the button reshoved all in for 3,860,000 and Roman Zhuravlev in the big blind had a decision to make and folded, then Butba snap-called to see Zhuravlev pat himself on the shoulder and mention in table chat "I folded pocket queens."

Vladislav Vinagradov: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Jack Sinclair: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Said Butba: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}

The board came {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Butba scored the double knockout.

Shener Flushed Away; Bura Short

Level 18 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Victor Shener was all in and at risk with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} on a flop of {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Gor Kazaryan put him to the rest with the {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The {9-Hearts} on the turn was a blank and the {4-Clubs} river improved Kazaryan to a flush.

Moments later and on a different table, there was an open raise to 225,000 and Maksim Bura three-bet to 675,000 in the cutoff. Lavrentiy Ni in the small blind four-bet and didn't put enough chips in, which was then corrected as his raise to 1,125,000 was confirmed. The initial raiser folded and Bura called with around 1.3 million behind. Ni pushed the {5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop and Bura folded.
