Galitskiy Takes the Chip Lead

Level 30 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Mikhail Galitskiy
Mikhail Galitskiy

Viacheslav Zhukov raised preflop to 1,600,000 with pocket nines and Gor Kazaryan three-bet from the hijack with {7-Clubs}{6-Spades} to 5,000,000. Mikhail Galitskiy was in the small blind with {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and flat called as did Zhukov.

The flop came down {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}, and Kazaryan bet 8,000,000 and both his opponents checked. Galitskiy called with his overpair, and Zhukov folded his pocket nines.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds}, and Galitskiy checked, which allowed Kazaryan to bet 15,500,000, and Galitskiy called.

On the {2-Hearts} river, Galitskiy checked as did Kazaryan and the former won of the biggest pots of the tournament so far for 63 million.

Khodorenko Chips Up

Level 30 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

There hasn't been much action on the outer table and the biggest pot saw Viktor Khodorenko get paid off by fellow big stack Aleksandr Chernikov when his value bet on the {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades} river was called by Chernikov.

Khodorenko tabled the {K-Spades}{J-Spades} and won the pot.

Three Pots for Lipovka

Level 30 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Vadim Lipovka raised and called a three-bet to 4.3 million by Konstantin Uspenskii. The duo checked the {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop and the {3-Spades} turn. Lipovka bet the {J-Hearts} river for 3 million and Uspenskii used one time bank, then called. Lipovka showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and that won the pot.

Lipovka limped in and called the raise by Pavel Zuev to see a flop of {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, which both players checked. On the {6-Clubs} turn both checked as well and Lipovka bet the {7-Spades} river for 2.6 million. Zuev called and mucked when he was shown the {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

Last but not least, Lipovka min-raised from under the gun and Saar Wilf called in the big blind. On a flop of {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, Wilf checked and called a bet of 1.3 million before checking again on the {K-Diamonds} turn. Lipovka made it 2.0 million to go and Wilf folded.

Saar Wilf Eliminated in 22nd Place (RUB1,500,000)

Viktor Khodorenko raised it up to 1.6 million and Aleksandr Chernikov called from one seat over. Saar Wilf moved all in for 8.45 million in the small blind and Vadim Lipovka in the big blind used one time bank, then reraised to 15.5 million.

While Khodorenko folded quickly, Chernikov immediately moved all in when it was his turn to act. Wilf stood up from his chair and Lipovka asked for a count on the second all in. Chernikov was at risk for 44.85 million and that prompted him to use another time bank before letting the one minute run down to two seconds before announcing the fold.

Saar Wilf: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Aleksandr Chernikov: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The board came {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Chernikov celebrated, while Wilf was eliminated in 22nd place for RUB1,500,000.

"I had ace-queen of diamonds, royal flush," Lipovka replied to Chernikov when he was asked about his hand.

Thursfield Takes From Farrell

Level 30 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Luke Thursfield raised from under the gun with {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, and Niall Farrell defended his big blind with {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades}, and Farrell check-called a bet.

The turn gave Farrell two pair when the {7-Spades} fell, but he was still behind to Thursfield's trips. Thursfield continued to bet, and Farrell called.

On the {9-Spades} river, Farrell checked and decided to fold after Thursfield barrelled for the third time.

Filatov Cracks Aces to Double

Level 31 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Anatoly Filatov gave Vadim Lipovka a walk and then moved all in from the button for 7.6 million the next hand. Konstantin Uspenskii snap-called in the big blind.

Anatoly Filatov: {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Konstantin Uspenskii: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}

The {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop gave Filatov a gutshot and the {5-Hearts} turn was of no help just yet, however, Filatov spiked the {9-Diamonds} on the river to improve to a straight and double.
