Hofbauer Off to a Good Start

Level 18 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Philipp Hofbauer was one of the fifteen players that found their way to Day 3 through the Online Day 1+2 and he was off to a good start and has already doubled his stack.

Hofbauer opened with a raise to 500,000 from early position and Rastislav Paleta called from the button. Both blinds folded before the {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} flop was dealt. Hofbauer continued with a bet of 700,000 on the flop and he was called again.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and Hofbauer slowed down with a check. Paleta took over the betting with a bet of 700,000 and Hofbauer called. The {10-Diamonds} landed on the river and both checked.

Hofbauer showed {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and won the pot.

Two Hands With Carrel

Level 19 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

Hand #1: John Farrell raised from middle position to 600,000 and Charlie Carrel called from the hijack. The others folded and Carrel told his opponent that it was battle number four between them.

The flop was dealt {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and they played the hand out really fast from this point forward. Farrell bet 800,000, Carrel quickly called. The dealer dealt the {2-Diamonds} turn, Farrell bet 1,000,000 and Carrel folded.

Farrell showed {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Carrel said ''that is a very nice hand sir''.

Hand #2: Carrel raised to 600,000 from middle position and Jessica Teusl put her last 1,700,000 in the middle from the cutoff. Carrel called after the others folded.

Jessica Teusl: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Charlie Carrel: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and they chopped it up.

Aleks Dimitrov is also seated at the same table. The start of day chip leader lost a little bit of his stack but is still at 90 big blinds.

The turn was the {j-Diamonds} and Philippovich check-called another bet of 1,000,000 this time.

The river was the {k-Diamonds} and Philippovich checked for the third time in a row. Lemarquand decided to pull the trigger and bet 3,500,000 and Philippovich found a call.

Lemarquand showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a complete bluff but Philippovic showed {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for just fourth pair.

Level 19 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

With more than 10 million chips already in the middle, Jozsef Liszkovics went all in from the button for his remaining 13,800,000. The board read {7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}, and Severin Schleser took a few moments to think it over before making a frustrated fold.
