Day 1a of the WPT WOC Main Event, which guarantees $5 million, is barely two levels old, and already it has collected more than a quarter of the huge guarantee. Total entries are now up 260 with action in Level 2 and more than 3 hours left to get into the first flight of this massive game.

The 260 entries have pushed the collected money to$1.3 million already, and at this rate, the event seems certain to hit the guarantee overall.

Formula 1 Driver Daniel Ricciardo Knows When to Pit

McLaren Racing

McLaren Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo knows what it's like to operate at peak performance. Both he and his car need to operate at the outer limits of their ability on race day to stand a chance of winning, or even making it to the end of the race. But he also understands that being at your peak means being in control.

At the poker tables, players don't need to worry about spinning off the track into the wall from a momentary lapse of concentration, or a tire blowout at 200 kph because they didn't pull into the pits. But every poker player has experienced some proverbial version of those when they lose control and don't know when to take a break to fix the machinery.

"Only when we're in control are we in charge of our own race," Ricciardo said in a recent video. "It's sometimes important to hold back, take a break and take stock. It's important to know when it's time to pit."

Gambling and Auto-racing have a lot in common as McLaren Driver Ricciardo explains

The final tally for WPT Super $55 was 2,561 entries, putting the final prize pool at $128,050. There are 1,308 players left in action fighting for a piece of that prize pool, and 399 will share in it.

There is nearly $7,500 up top in prizes to shoot for, in addition to bounties collected along the way, so it's a decent payday for a $55 buy-in.

WPT Grand is now closed to entry, and they ended with a total of 289 entries in the game. That wasn't quite enough to hit the $300,000 guarantee, but the $289,708 was barely $10,000 off the mark. With more than $14,000 collected in fees for the game, there's enough in the pot to cover the overlay.

Fewer than 80 Left in WPT Weekender Final Day

They haven't even been playing for 2 hours yet in the WPT Weekender Final Day, but they've gone through nearly two-thirds of the starting field of 214. The field is down to just 79 players left with payouts at $170. There is a pay jump to $194 at 71st place.

Luc Van Der Beek currently has the biggest stack, sitting behind 4.950.805 chips, with $609 in bounties in his pocket already.

Main Event Collects More than $1.5 Million Already

There is still more than 2 hours to get into Day 1a of the $5 million WPT WOC Main Event, but already 309 entries are on the board. That means the collected money is now well over $1.5 million with plenty of time to go in the first flight.

There are 274 players still in action at the break, and play for Day 1a will continue until 15% of the starting field remains. Graham Ivany from Canada is the current Day 1a leader with more than 830,000 chips, while Ireland's John Kennedy is well behind in 2nd with about 578,000.
