$109 Event #3: $10K GTD PLO 6-Max

Day 1 Completed

Congratulations to "MiSkins", Winner of Event #3: $10k GTD PLO 6-Max for $3,888

The BetMGM Online Series Poker Michigan has now crowned the only four-card champion of the series in Event #3: $10k GTD PLO 6-Max after just under six hours of play. The third event of the series saw 143 runners which destroyed the guarantee and when the last chance saloon had closed for business it was "MiSkins" sitting in the winner's circle, taking home $3,888 for their victory.

"MiSkins" began the final table second on the totem pole, finding themselves watch "Tigers1984" and "uhaultrucks" battle it out in almost every hand. Once "Tigers1984" finished off "uhaultrucks" it was time for "MiSkins" to enter the battlefield but they were at a large chip deficit. The lead was shifted a few times between the two before "MiSkins" completely took over and "Tigers1984" was against the ropes.

Both players shoved with the same flush draw but "MiSkins" had the larger of the two. Despite that, "Tigers1984" was ahead with their pocket fours, and "MiSkins" needed to hit. The deciding card was the eight river which gave "MiSkins" a single pair of snowmen to scoop the pot, eliminating "Tigers1984" in second to take down the third event of the series.

Action of the Day

The BetMGM Online Series Michigan has seen two events completed thus far that failed to hit the advertised guarantee. Event number three was the exception of the trend, smashing the $10,000 guarantee after 143 runners signed up to create a $14,300 prize pool.

A heavy field was whittled down to just 33 once the late registration period had been completed with just 15 of those runners destined to find a payday. It took just a single hour to hit the money when "uhaultrucks" dropped "Mmb1212" after both rivered a boat but "uhaultrucks" held rockets to pop the bubble.

A flurry of eliminations led to a quick final table that was headlined by "Tigers1984" on top of the leaderboard. "NBTRjr" called their remaining stack into the middle, drawing to just a chop with "Tigers1984" and the rivered bricked to drop the first runner from the final table. "smftt" fell into the new short-stack role and elected to shoved with queens on a nine-high board. "uhaultrucks" called with top pair and draws. A nine river tripled the nines for "uhaultrucks" and "smftt" was sent out the door.

The next to exit was "SKREWBALL" who lost two massive pots right before putting it in three-handed. "MiSkins" tabled two pair and "SKREWBALL" mucked, dropping in fourth. "uhaultrucks" and "Tigers1984" finally ended their tournament-long feud when "Tigers1984" pushed "uhaultrucks" all-in on the river. "uhaultrucks" called with a pair but was destroyed by the boat of "Tigers1984" taking an exit in third.

The heads-up portion of this event had "Tigers1984" sitting in a commanding position with a monster chip lead but "MiSkins" was not about to back down. A back-and-forth battle had multiple lead changes that ultimately ended with a monster flop for both players. "Tigers1984" called their stack in on a flop that gave them a flush draw but "MiSkins" had the same draw but higher. "Tigers1984
was ahead with a single pair of fours until a rivered eight paired up for "MiSkins" to take down the final hand of this Omaha event with just a pair of eights, leaving "Tigers1984" with respectable $2,288 runner-up prize.
