"Bullsey8" Fades for the Early KO

"Bullsey8"
"Bullsey8"

In Level 2 with blinds of 200/400 and an ante of 50, there was 16,200 in the middle in a three-way hand between "Shotcaller777" in the small blind, "Qwerty777" who was under the gun, and "Bullsey8" who was in early position.

The board read {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} and action checked to "Bullsey8", who jammed for an effective 15,600. "Shotcaller777" folded and "Qwerty7777" called all in.

"Qwerty7777": {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
"Bullsey8": {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

When the cards were shown, "Bullsey8" found their top set was up against both a flush draw and an open-ended straight draw. Luckily for them, "Qwerty7777" missed their draw on the river {6-Clubs}, improving them to no more than a pair of sixes. "Bullsey8" earned the pot and the early bounty, while "Qwerty7777" wasted no time re-entering to receive a fresh stack of 30,000.

"POKERMANTIS" Gets the Double-Knockout

"POKERMANTIS"
"POKERMANTIS"

In Level 4 with blinds of 300/600 and an ante of 75, "POKERMANTIS" limped in under the gun and saw "Khoury1040" limp in on their direct left. Action folded around to "Jakelarsen2042" in the cutoff, who raised to 1,800. Action folded back to the two limpers and they both called, taking action three ways to a flop of {k-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

"POKERMANTIS" checked to put action onto "Khoury1040," who bet 6,975. "Jakelarsen2042" raised all in for 12,575 and "POKERMANTIS" put in a check-raise over that, figure, three-bet jamming for an effective 23,000 that "Khoury1040" had in their stack. A call was made and all three hands were shown.

"Jakelarsen2042": {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
"Khoury1040": {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
"POKERMANTIS": {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}

"POKERMANTIS" was way ahead with a set of deuces, needing to fade immediate Broadway outs in addition to running full house outs to score the double-knockout. The turn {6-Diamonds} and river {9-Spades} both complied and the pot was shipped their way to bring their stack over 90,000, earning half their buy-in back by way of two $5 bounties to go along with the pot.

"states420"
"states420"

In Level 5 with blinds of 400/800 and an ante of 100, Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd opened the action with a raise to 1,600 under the gun and received a call from "states420" in the hijack. "Payman" in the small blind and "fastmelody" in the big blind both called as well.

The four players saw the flop drop {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs} and three checks ensued to put action onto "states420," who fired 3,600. Only "fastmelody" called and action went heads up to the tun {q-Hearts}, where both players checked.

The river came {a-Clubs} and "fastmelody" checked once more. "states420" bet 10,800 and was quickly called to take the hand to showdown.

"states420" showed {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} for the nut trips. the hand proved to be good, as "fastmelody" mucked and the pot was sent their way, increasing their stack to over 137,527 to result in their taking the chip lead at this point in the tournament.
