"miw210x" Wins partypoker US Network Online Series Black Chip Bounty for $6,526

Event #2
Event #2

"miw210x" has become the most recent winner of a partypoker US Network Online Series Event #2: $15,000 GTD NLH Black Chip Bounty, doing so by cracking pocket aces on the final hand of the tournament to earn the first-place prize of $5,826 with $700 in bounties to go along with it.

The $320 buy-in ($305+15) event nearly doubled its guarantee, as 97 entries generated a total prize pool of $29,585. Of that total, $19,885 went to the main prize pool and the remaining $9,700 was dispersed through bounties. Registration remained open for three hours and "miw210x" was seen at or near the top of the leader board during the last levels of the late registration period. Just 18 remained when registration closed, and they were one of two players with over half a million in chips.

By the time eventual runner-up rule22 burst the bubble with a double-knockout to bring the field to 11, "miw210x" had almost 1 million in chips, and they took the chip lead into the final table of nine with a seven-figure stack a few minutes later; though e-eventual fifth-place finisher Jon “Jetsfan411” Borenstein was hot on their heels with a seven-figure stack of his own.

From Nine To One

Ryan "TheSims" Hohner came into the final table with only a handful of blinds in his stack and became the first elimination of the table. A full level then went by before "Gohednpopoff" and Brian "TopCreature" Sherrier found the virtual rail in short succession, taking the number of players down to six before "King_Icon" bowed out on the following level when their pocket nines could not hold versus ace-king in an all-in preflop situation against "IReadYrSoul."

"miw210x" took the chip lead into five-handed play, but stacks proceeded to even as "rule22" eliminated Borensein in fifth place and then "IReadYrSoul" knocked out "RickRahim" in fourth. "IReadYrSoul" then gained the momentum and took a commanding chip lead during three-handed play, but eventually lost three-straight all-ins to double "miw210x" and "rule22" before running ace-seven into the ace-king of "rule22" to bust in third.

When heads-up play begain, "rule22" had more than a two-to one chip lead. They increased it briefly before doubling "miw210x" to bring stacks to nearly even. From there, "miw210x" took the lead by winning a sizeable pot without showdown and then got the rest after stacks got in on the flop on a king-high board: "miw210x" was holding king-trey suited and had run it into pocket aces but a king on the turn saved them and earned them the victory.

"rule22" Eliminated in 2nd Place ($3,698 + $600 in Bounties)

In Level 31 with blinds of 35,000/70,000 and an ante of 8,750, "miw210x" opened to 145,000 on the button and "rule22" three-bet to 315,000 in the big blind. "miw210x" called.

The flop fell {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Spades} and "rule22" made a continuation-bet of 315,000. "miw210x" jammed for 1.56 million effective and "rule22" quickly called.

The turn came {k-Spades}, and all of a sudden "rule22" went from being in incredible shape with their overpair of aces to having one shot at hitting a two outer to stay alive in the tournament. Their luck appeared to run out as the river {7-Hearts} completed the runout and the pot was sent to "miw210x," who became the winner of the tournament as a result.

"rule22" earned $3,698 for their second-place finish and knocked out six players for another $600 in bounties, while "miw210x" has earned the first-plae prize of $5,826 with $700 in bounties to go with it. A full recap of the tournament will be provided shortly.

In Level 29 with blinds of 25,000/50,000 and an ante of 6,250, "rule22" raised to 125,000 in the small blind and "IReadYrSoul" three-bet jammed for 1.14 million in the big blind. "rule22" wasted no time clicking the call button.

"IReadYrSoul": {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

"IReadYrSoul" was in trouble and the flop {k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} put them in even worse shape. The turn {3-Spades} left them drawing dead before the river {7-Clubs} proved to be nothing more than a consolation prize en route to their third-place finish, earning a prize of $2,684 to go along with a tournament-high 11 knockouts for another $1,100.

In Level 28 with blinds of 20,000/40,000 and an ante of 5,000, "miw210x" opened to 85,000 in the cutoff and "RickRahim" three-bet shoved for 724,000 on the button. "IReadYrSoul" could four-bet jammed over the top, effectively putting "miw210x" to a decision for their remaining 1.1 million. "miw210x" folded.

"RickRahim": saw the wrong one of their two unpaired hole cards come on the runout {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, giving both players a pair of aces and leaving "IReadYrSoul" with the superior kicker. "RickRahim" was eliminated in fourth place as a result, earning $1,908 plus another $100 from the lone bounty they amassed to take their overall payday over $2,000.

"King_Icon": {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
"IReadYrSoul": {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

"King_Icon" needed to hold in order to win the coin flip and stay alive, but instead an ace on the flop {8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{a-Spades} spelled disaster, as nothing more than a pair of deuces {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} came to complete the runout and result in their elimination from the tournament in sixth place.

In Level 15 with blinds of 2,500/5,000 and an ante of 625, "brownmagic" shoved for 27,500 in middle position and "pay4medschool" shoved over the top for 33,000. "millertime4244" called in the big blind for a shot at a double-knockout.

"brownmagic": {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
"pay4medschool": {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
"millertime4244": {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

"millertime4244" was live and spiked a jack on the flop {6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, but the turn {a-Hearts} came right behind it to put "pay4medschool" back in front. None of the three players held a heart, making a flush draw no sweat for "pay4medschool," though they would not need it as the river {5-Spades} scored them the pot and the bounty, eliminating "brownmagic" en route to turning a stack of 33,000 into one just above 100,000.

"Got_Milk" Gets Some Cheddar

In Level 10 with blinds of 1,200/2,400 and an ante of 300, "Takingover2018" saw action fold around to them in the hijack and jammed for 18,400. "Got_Milk" called in the big blind.

"Takingover2018": {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
"Got_Milk": {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

A pretty flop of {10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} realistically brought "Got_Milk" nothing more than a flush draw, and the turn {10-Diamonds} took away another one of those outs. Nonetheless, the river came {6-Hearts} to complete the flush draw and improve them to the best hand, earning their second knockout of the tournament to take their stack over 160,000.

"golden13" Quintuples; No Bounties Earned in Four-Way All-In

"golden13"
"golden13"

In Level 8 with blinds of 800/1,600 and an ante of 200, "golden13" jammed for 12,100 in early position and was called by both "mrunicorn88" in the hijack and "PocketSomun" in the cutoff. "poflatland" jammed for around 800 more and then "King_Icon" cold four-bet jammed for 69,100 in the big blind. "mrunicorn88" folded and "PocketSomun" called.

"golden13": {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
"poflatland": {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
"King_Icon": {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
"PocketSomun": {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

"poflatland" saw themselves ahead and needing to only fade three overcards among their three opponents. Meanwhile, "golden13" needed to hit a three outer to find a quintuple. The flop {3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades} obliged, and the turn {j-Diamonds} left them sweating only the two remaining nines in the deck. The river came {5-Diamonds} to complete the runout and earn them the main pot.

Meanwhile, "poflatland" won the first side pot of a mere 2,356 and the second side pot was split between the two ace-king hands to result in no eliminations, and therefore not a single bounty being recorded from the four-way all-in preflop scenario.
