partypoker US Network Online Series (Nov. 29 - Dec.6)

Event #4 of the partypoker US Network Online Series drew 70 entries at $320 apiece, generating a prize pool of an even $21,000 that was split 50-50 between payouts and bounties in its Progressive Knockout format. The tournament took nearly six hours to play to its completion, with "Borgatcha" winning and earning over 30% of the overall prize pool in $6,758 ($2,521 in prizes + $4,237 in bounties).

The win for "Borgatcha" capped off a heads-up match with "pay4medsch00l" that lasted for three full 12-minute levels after "Borgatcha" began the match with a sizeable chip lead that they quickly relinquished. Back-and-forth blows followed by numerous small pots saw stacks ultimately remain nearly even, but a full house gave "Borgatcha" over 80% of the chips in play and they wound up with the rest not much after, winning a coin flip in an all-in preflop situation to make the tournament results official.

"Borgatcha" was among those to join the tournament within the opening levels of play before the evening's first break. They had an above-average stack nearing the end of the 15-level late registration period, and had grown their stack to be fifth in chips when registration closed and a burst of eliminations left just 16 in contention.

Five more dropped quickly and 11 remained as the tournament reached the bubble. "Borgatcha" had overtaken the chip lead, and grew it from there as they eliminated "Cara2Cacra" to burst the bubble. Moments later, two eliminations occurred and they took over 1/3 of the chips in play into the final table of eight.

Of the six eliminations at the final table needed to reach heads-up play, "Borgatcha" earned four of them. As such, they had a bounty atop their head that was three-times the amount of their opponent, "pay4medsch00l". Even when chip stacks were even, no talk of a deal ever came to be. Eventually, "Borgatcha" claimed all the remaining chips and even more valuable, all remaining bounty money to come out on top.

In Level 30 with blinds of 30,000/60,000 and an ante of 7,500, "Borgatcha" raised to 1.4 million on the button, more than enough to put "pay4medsch00l" all in from the big blind. After a few moments of thought, "pay4medsch00l" called and the two were off to the races.

"pay4medsch00l" stayed ahead through the flop , but the turn and river were all "Borgatcha" and they finished the hand with trips, good to eliminate "pay4medsch00l" in second place and earn $2,521 for first place plus another $4,237 in bounties of their own.

In Level 28 with blinds of 20,000/40,000 and an ante of 5,000, "Borgatcha" opened to 80,000 on the button and "pay4medsch00l" three-bet to 240,000. "Borgatcha" four-bet to 600,000 and "pay4medsch00l" called.

The flop dropped and "pay4medsch00l" checked. "Borgatcha" made a continuation-bet of 280,000 and "pay4medsch00l" check-raised all in for 1.595 million.

"Borgatcha" folded, earning "pay4medsch00l" both the pot and the chip lead as the match continues.

In Level 27 with blinds of 18,000/36,000 and an ante of 4,500, all of the chips went in the middle preflop, with "SnashuaJ" all in on the button for 1.1 million against "Borgatcha", who was in the big blind.

"SnashuaJ" was in their biggest coin-flip situation of the tournament with a chance to take the chip lead should they win. The flop left them with two chances to hit and stay alive, but the turn spelled doom, giving "Borgatcha" a set of eights that left them drawing dead to the river to finish the tournament in third place.

In Level 25 with blinds of 14,000/28,000 and an ante of 3,500, "Gohednpopoff" shoved for 575,000 in the cutoff and received action from "Borgatcha" in the small blind.

"Gohednpopoff" was only able to find a ten on the river of a runout , leaving their hand still second best against the queens of "Borgatcha" to take fourth in the tournament along with over $2,150 in combined earnings.

In Level 24 with blinds of 12,000/24,000 and an ante of 3,000, "Borgatcha" opened the action with a raise to 52,800 in the cutoff and "BoozeHound" called on the button.

Action went heads up to the flop and "Borgtacha" made a continuation-bet of 75,100. "BoozeHound" raised to 216,000 and "Borgatcha" three-bet jammed to put "BoozeHound" to a decision for their remaining chips, which they called.

"BoozeHound" had flopped top two pair but was up against an open-ended straight flush draw. The turn added to the total number of outs that they needed to fade, which proved to be too many as the river gave "Borgatcha" a flush and sent "BoozeHound" to the rail in fifth place, earning a combined $1,181 for their efforts as a result.

In Level 23 with blinds of 10,000/20,000 and an ante of 2,500 "BoozeHound" opened to 44,000 under the gun and "deerpathdave" three-bet shoved for 143,000 in the cutoff. Action folded back to "BoozeHound" and they called.

The flop put "BoozeHound" out in front with a pair of tens and they stayed there as running came to finish the hand and eliminate "deerpathdave" from the tournament in sixth place.

In Level 22 with blinds of 8,000/16,000 and an ante of 2,000, all of the chips went into the middle preflop with "Karibou" at risk for their last 266,000 in the small blind against "Borgatcha", who was in the cutoff.

Hitting top two pair on a flop of wasn't enough for "Karibou" as the turn gave "Borgatcha" a flush. "Karibou" did not hit a four outer on the river to improve to a full house and they were eliminated in 7th place as a result.

Hagerty saw the wrong card pair on the flop of , leaving him needing to improve still to stay alive. He was unable to do so as the turn and river completed the runout to leave "deerpathdave" with the best hand in two queens to earn them the pot and the knockout.
