Congratulations to "angels" Winner of the $50,000 Guaranteed Opening Event

The opening event of the latest partypoker US Network Online Series is officially in the books, and it was "angels" who emerged victorious over a stacked final table that included Jon “Jetsfan411” Borenstein and David "TheKing411" Coleman. "angels" was in the middle of the pack with two tables left, but he quickly soared to the top of the counts, thanks in part to the elimination of James "Bagels" Lillis.

He kept things rolling with two of the first three eliminations at the final table, including the knockout of "Cholie" in seventh, when the eventual champion held pocket kings.

Next, it was the eventual runner up Jon "jetsfan411” Borenstein who would get in on the bounty action. First, he won a flip when he busted "Moose4Life" in 6th Place. Then pocket threes won him another flip in a similar situation against "TheRealanJurik."

However, all of these hands paled in comparison to this one, where oddly enough no one was eliminated. A three way all in occurred, where the Ace-Queen of "angels" was up against two pairs of jacks, held by Borenstein and "A.Jackson1767." The flop and the turn were blanks, but straight from Barry Greenstein's book, an ace came on the river, and from that point on "angels" never looked back, eliminating every player from there.

"angels" went into heads up play against Borenstein with a 2 to 1 chip lead, and it didn't take long for play to end.In the final hand, Borenstein hot his chips in with {a-Spades}{7-Spades}, but he was dominated by the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} of "angels." Borenstein would catch a ton of outs to win or chop the pot, but nothing would ultimately materialize, leaving "angels" as the champion.

Jon “Jetsfan411” Borenstein Eliminated in 2nd Place ($7,571.12)

Blinds: 90,000/180,000

"angels" had extended his lead a bit before this final hand against Jon “Jetsfan411” Borenstein. He would get his final chips in the middle holding {a-Spades}{7-Spades}, but he was dominated by the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} of "angels."

The flop of {j-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds} gave Borenstein a flush draw, as well as some chop outs, but he did not like the {3-Diamonds} turn, or {5-Clubs} river.

Borenstein will have to settle for the second palce prize of $7,571.12, while "angels" will take home $10,964.06 for his victory. Stay tuned for a full recap to be posted shortly.

David "TheKing411" Coleman Eliminated in 3rd Place ($5,391.20)

Blinds: 90,000/180,000

David "TheKing411" Coleman moved all in from the small blind holding {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. "angels" was in the big blind, and he called with a dominating {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. The flop of {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} gave Coleman some extra outs, but the {9-Clubs} turn and {9-Spades} river weren't any of those extra outs.

Just like that, we are heads up, with "angels" holding a 2 to 1 lead.

"A.Jackson1767" Eliminated in 4th Place ($4,453.60)

Blinds: 90,000/180,000

"A.Jackson1767" moved all in on the button for his final 1.3 million or so, and in the big blind, "angels" called for a small portion of his stack. He held {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, but he had plenty of catching up to do, as "A.Jackson1767" had {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}.

"angels" surely loved to see the flop of {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and the {j-Diamonds} gave him even more outs. The river {q-Hearts} confirmed the cracked aces, while "angels" continues to ride the hot hand at this final table.

River Ace Sends "angels" Into the Chip Lead

Blinds: 80,000/160,000

"angels" raised to 320,000, and next to act, chip leader Jon “Jetsfan411” Borenstein reraised to 856,000. "A.Jackson1767" then moved all in for just over five million, and it was back to "angels."

He thought for most of his time bank before calling all in for 3.2 million, and now it was on Borenstein. He thought for a bit himself before calling, and the biggest pot of the tournament had suddenly developed.

"angels": {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
"A.Jackson1767": {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Jon “Jetsfan411” Borenstein: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

"angels" was drawing very live for the triple up, but it looked like a split pot was coming after the {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, and {k-Diamonds} turn. However, the {a-Hearts} came on the river, and just like that, "angels" was sent a pot of nearly 10 million chips.

"TheRealJanJurik" Eliminated in 5th Place ($3,809)

Blinds: 80,000/160,000

"TheRealJanJurik" shoved all in from the small blind with {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}, and Jon “Jetsfan411” Borenstein called to put him at risk with {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The small pair would hold up on the runout of {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, and a huge pot was sent over to Borenstein, who strengthens his chip lead four handed.

"Moose4Life" Eliminated in 6th Place ($3,223)

Blinds: 70,000/140,000

Action folded around to short stack "Moose4Life", who shoved all in for about 800,000. In the big blind, Jon “Jetsfan411” Borenstein called with {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. He was flipping against the {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} of "Moose4Life", and the threes held the lead after the flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. The {a-Diamonds} on the turn shot "Moose4Life" into the lead, but it also gave Borenstein some flush draw outs.

The {6-Diamonds} on the river improved "Moose4Life" to a straight, but it also gave Borenstein a better flush, sending "Moose4Life" to the virtual rail in sixth place.

"acedoctor" Eliminated in 9th Place ($1,465)

Blinds: 35,000/70,000

"acedoctor" had folded all the way down to just two and a half big blinds when he shoved all in with {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, but unfortunately for him, "angels woke up with pocket jacks in the big blind.

The board ran down {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and the jacks held to score the first knockout of the final table.

Massive Triple Up For "jaehoez24"

Blinds: 35,000/70,000

There wasn't much action to report at this final table, until a wild three way all in broke out just now. The action started with "jaehoez24" moving all in 671,190. It folded around to the chip leader "angels", and he moved all in over the top. In the big blind, "Moose4Life" snap called the huge bet with {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, and he was in great shape against the pocket queens of "angels" and the sixes of "jaehoez24".

The third best hand became the best hand, as the board ran down {j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to give "jaehoez24" quad sixes. It also gave "Moose4Life" a decent side pot, while "angels" remains the chip leader.
